A bald, bespectacled priest in white dhoti with gold border and ritual body markings stands at left, holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a shrine. Behind him is a framed portrait of an elderly man with white hair and glasses. At right, a large cutout figure of a seated man wearing an orange turban, saffron-colored robes, a flower garland and a gold necklace sits on a pink-and-gold cushioned seat beneath a red and yellow canopy with tassels. Brass lamps stand on either side, and a brass bowl of yellow food and a banana leaf with offerings sit on the table in front.2022-02-16Indoor ritual photo under a golden-pillared open pavilion decorated with mango leaves and palm fronds. On the right, a seated figure in orange-and-saffron robes with a shaved head sits behind a flower-garlanded seated figure on an ornate golden throne under a multicoloured parasol, in a manner consistent with a guru being honoured; the figure on the throne is not confidently identifiable by appearance. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti sits on a white marble platform facing a floor arrangement of lamps, brass vessels and offerings. Three seated deity murtis with gold arches and flower garlands sit on a magenta-draped table at left, with an oil lamp in front. A woman in pink sits near the central floor ritual, and a woman in red-and-gold sari sits at lower right beside brass plates of leaves, rice and kumkum; this appears to be a puja or homa setting.2021-12-28A photograph of a Navaratri puja scene on a red cloth. A bare-chested priest in a yellow turban and white dhoti sits cross-legged at left, reaching toward a brass plate of offerings. Behind him a deity murti sits on a green and gold throne, draped in red and yellow garlands, with an orange and yellow embellished backdrop. Brass plates hold bananas, leaves, sweets, coconut, kumkum and vibhuti, with a lit oil lamp, a kalasha and small brass vessels around the altar. No a person candidate is visible; the seated figure is a priest.Feb 5 2022 sripuram2022-02-05May 22 20152015-05-22 +1 copiesA shaved-headed priest in a cream dhoti with a gold border and a rudraksha mala stands at left, ringing a brass handbell in his right hand while holding a lit oil lamp in his left, performing puja. Tall brass oil lamps and a silver bowl of yellow offerings on a green leaf sit on a low table in front.
