November 20 20222022-11-20A long hall with white walls and wooden floor shows many people seated in two rows on the floor, eating a meal served on green banana leaves with small cups of water. Many wear orange or saffron garments, while others wear white, yellow, or pink clothing. Some seated men wear orange shirts and yellow headbands. Several figures stand at the back of the hall near orange and yellow hanging decorations, and a wall clock is visible. The scene appears to be a communal meal in a religious setting.2011-11-06December 14 20062006-12-14December 14 20062006-12-14Photo 11707617A long hall with white walls and a metal roof where many men sit cross-legged on the floor in rows along both sides, eating from banana leaf plates with rice and sides, water bottles beside them. Several are bare-chested or in white and saffron/orange cloths, and one elderly man in a yellow cloth sits at the right. A man in a light blue shirt and grey trousers walks down the central aisle, and a white-clad attendant stands near a decorated altar with a deity image and framed pictures at the far end. Tasseled colourful hangings hang from the ceiling beams. The scene looks like a communal meal, possibly annadan.2011-10-14November 06 20112011-11-06 +1 copiesJuly 16 20192019-07-16November 06 20112011-11-06 +2 copiesA photograph of a plain whitewashed hall where people are seated at long metal tables eating a meal from steel plates, with steel tumblers beside them. Across the room, attendants in white dhotis serve food from large steel vessels set on a serving counter near a doorway. A small child in grey shorts walks between the tables. Colourful woven hangings in red, yellow, blue and orange hang on the walls, and ceiling fans run overhead. This appears to be an annadan style communal meal.2011-09-09Indoor hall with white tiled floor and banners on the walls, where a group of saffron-robed sannyasis and women in orange saris sit in two rows on mats before brass plates. Rows of small oil lamps and leaf plates with fruit and flowers line the floor between them. Several standing women in orange and white and a few seated devotees in white dhotis and saris look on. Hanging lanterns decorate the ceiling. Some in the front row wear rudraksha malas and vibhuti.
