Photo 11707615December 01 20172017-12-01A open-sided tent with a red, green and blue bunting strung along its top and green mesh screens around the sides. A crowd of people sit on a bare concrete floor in rows, many eating from metal plates and bowls, some with banana-leaf style trays. A bald man in the foreground wears an orange-saffron cloth around his lower body and is bare-chested, seated with his back to the camera beside a water bottle and a white sack. Other seated people wear white dhotis and shirts, saffron, red and maroon saris, and blue headcloths. A man in white stands near the centre of the tent among the seated diners. Wooden poles support the tent canopy.2012-04-06 +1 copiesNovember 15 20212021-11-15November 06 20112011-11-06 +1 copiesA long hall with a corrugated metal roof, white sheer fabric draped across the ceiling, and yellow and orange fabric hangings with painted decorative columns. Thirty to forty men and older men sit cross-legged in long rows on the floor at banana-leaf place settings, eating from plates with rice and small bowls, many wearing orange or saffron cloths and some in white dhotis. Several attendants in white or orange clothing stand and walk between the rows serving food. A computer monitor and a blue exercise ball sit at the left edge near the wall.2011-11-06 +2 copiesA long hall with white walls and a metal roof where many men sit cross-legged on the floor in rows along both sides, eating from banana leaf plates with rice and sides, water bottles beside them. Several are bare-chested or in white and saffron/orange cloths, and one elderly man in a yellow cloth sits at the right. A man in a light blue shirt and grey trousers walks down the central aisle, and a white-clad attendant stands near a decorated altar with a deity image and framed pictures at the far end. Tasseled colourful hangings hang from the ceiling beams. The scene looks like a communal meal, possibly annadan.2011-10-14December 01 20172017-12-01November 06 20112011-11-06 +2 copiesNovember 07 20112011-11-07 +2 copiesNovember 27 20122012-11-27 +2 copiesMay 27 20112011-05-27
