A young woman sits on a red velvet-cushioned throne in front of an ornate gold-embossed backrest with a carved face medallion at the top. She wears an orange saffron sari with a gold border, a long dark braid pinned up, a bindi, a gold bead necklace with a rudraksha-style mala and a silver anklet, and her bare feet rest on a green carpet. A tall gold trident-shaped ceremonial staff stands at left beside a gold lamp stand. The sari, malas and throne suggest a sannyasi-style seat, but the sitter's appearance does not clearly match the page's a person claim, so the identity is uncertain.
