Night photograph of a long line of devotees standing shoulder to shoulder on a sandy open ground, lit by bright floodlights at the edges. Most people wear white or light shirts and trousers; one woman in front wears an orange-red sari and another a white sari. Beyond the line, a larger crowd stands in the dim background near low buildings and trees.

A night-time outdoor procession at a dimly lit open ground. A large crowd of people, many in orange and red garments and white clothing, moves past a bright floodlight at the left edge; a tall sheeted or draped structure, possibly a palanquin or float, is partly visible at the far left with a light illuminating it. Several people in the front look toward the light. Low walls, small plants and a building with lit windows stand in the background, and a rubble pile sits at right. No individual can be clearly identified as a person from appearance, so no candidate is marked.

A dark night scene of a crowd gathered along a line of strung red lights and street lamps at an outdoor evening gathering. Many people stand in loose rows, mostly men in light shirts and white or cream clothing, some with cloths over their shoulders, facing away toward the dark open space ahead. Tall white pillars and small lit lamps line a low railing in the foreground, with the area near the Tiruvannamalai festival atmosphere lit only by these lamps. No one can be clearly identified as a specific individual.

Night photograph of a dense outdoor crowd gathered at an event, with many people standing close together facing away from the camera toward an unseen stage. Bright floodlights on tall poles light the scene, and a string of yellow lights runs along the background, with plastic chairs in the lower right. Men wear white or pale shirts and some wear saffron-orange shirts; several women wear saris and have long braided hair. No identifiable a person figure is visible among the crowd.

Night photo of a dense crowd gathered around a lit firewalk path, a narrow dirt strip flanked by wooden poles with a bright floodlight above. Several men in white shirts and white dhotis walk along the path, one in the centre wearing a lanyard badge. Devotees in white and some in orange-coloured clothing fill the foreground and sides, with more people packed behind the poles. Dark sky with bright spark-like specks. No identifiable a person figure is clearly visible.
