A photo of a homa fire ritual at a brick fire pit, with a large open flame rising from the centre. Two men sit on the floor at either side: on the left a bare-chested priest in white dhoti wearing a vertical tilak and a rudraksha-style mala, holding a marigold stem; on the right a bare-chested priest in a green and gold turban and a beaded mala, stirring the fire with a long-handled ladle from a copper vessel. Yellow marigold garlands drape a deity murti behind them beside a red and gold shrine niche. Offerings of rice and flower petals lie on the bricks, with brass oil lamps and a tray of puffed grain nearby. Two more people in white stand at the edges, and a camera tripod is visible at the top left.2016-01-02 +1 copiesMarch 05 20162016-03-05 +1 copiesA homa fire ritual in progress.
