February 24 20162016-02-24February 24 20162016-02-24A seated figure in a black turban, red-brown robe and a multicolour beaded garland of red, blue and white beads with a gold pendant places one hand on the forehead of a young man with short dark hair in a white shirt and orange shawl, who raises his palm. The seated figure sits on a leopard-print cushion in front of an ornate gold throne. Behind them, a brass oil lamp, a flower-garlanded backdrop, and an older woman with glasses and another woman in red garments stand near the altar. A man in an orange turban smiles at the right edge in a printed image. The scene suggests a blessing or initiation moment in an ashram setting.2016-02-24A photograph of a seated figure in a maroon-red robe with a red and blue beaded garland, wearing a dark wrapped head covering, placing a hand on the forehead of a kneeling man in a white shirt and orange-saffron shawl. A silver trident stands in the foreground beside a gold ornate throne with leopard-print cushions. Behind them are garlands of yellow and green flowers, a gold lamp stand, and a partially visible woman at the right edge. The gesture suggests a blessing being given during a ritual setting.2016-02-24February 24 20162016-02-24September 28 20142014-09-28A photograph of a seated figure in a rust-red turban and matching red robe, wearing a pink and blue flower garland and a gold pendant, placing a hand on the head of a young boy in a white dhoti with a red and gold border who kneels before him. The boy holds a small orange object in his hands and bows his head. Behind them stand a gold ornate throne backdrop, a brass oil lamp hanging on a chain, and strings of small lights. This appears to be a blessing or initiation moment in a temple-style setting.2017-06-21 +1 copiesFebruary 24 20162016-02-24A seated man in an ornate red and gold throne with a leopard-print turban and long dreadlocks wears rudraksha malas and an orange-brown dhoti-style garment, with a red tilak on his forehead and a crescent ornament on his head, smiling as he places both hands on the head of a kneeling devotee in a white shirt with curly hair. A woman in a brown garment with rudraksha beads stands at the right edge. The dark stage background has warm orange lighting behind the throne. The seated man has distinctive long dreadlocks, a crescent ornament, rudraksha malas and orange-saffron clothing, consistent with the page's reference to a person; this is an appearance-based candidate and the identification is probable. The kneeling devotee receives a blessing from him.2017-08-10A seated man with long swept-back black hair wrapped in a high turban-like crown with a gold ornament, wearing an orange-saffron shawl draped over his bare shoulders and a beaded rudraksha-style mala necklace, places his right palm on the forehead of a kneeling devotee in a white shirt and grey trousers. He sits on a leopard-print cushioned throne before a golden ornate pedestal and a dark red curtain, with a brass oil lamp nearby. On the right, a woman in an orange sari with a dark bead mala and a gold pendant stands watching.2016-03-01 +1 copiesApril 04 20182018-04-04August 10 20172017-08-10
