A woman in a teal and red embroidered sari with gold-bordered patterns kneels on a brick-paved floor, reaching down to a metal vessel while touching a banana leaf placed on the wet ground. Beside her a person in a white dhoti-style garment with dark red and grey borders stands with bare feet on the leaf. Bangles adorn her wrists, and a purple cloth edged with fringe lies on a ledge at the right.2013-12-26June 24 20142014-06-24January 14 20182018-01-14December 22 20162016-12-22 +1 copiesDecember 22 20162016-12-22 +1 copiesPhotograph of two women in saris holding and steadying a clay pot or vessel wrapped with white and orange cloth at a covered open-air pavilion decorated with palm fronds and leaves. The woman on the left wears a green and red saree with gold border; the woman on the right wears a teal blue saree with gold zari and a cream blouse, with a gold necklace. A cameraman with a tripod films in the background, and red-clad figures stand further back on a red carpet. Bangles and bare feet are visible.2018-01-14A procession outdoors on a dirt path. In the foreground a woman in a white sari with an orange shawl and a red-brown border carries a polished silver kalasha with a coconut and green mango leaves on a silver tray, with red petals scattered on it. Behind her a man in a white dhoti and gold-bordered shawl wears a long red and white flower garland and a gold necklace, his arms raised, while another man in orange robes holds a tall golden staff topped with a trident. Several men in orange and white stand behind, and a large decorated umbrella with a painted floral canopy and fringe shades the procession. The scene suggests a ritual procession, possibly a puja or ratha-related offering. A candidate with long swept-back hair, garland, gold necklace and white-gold garment is visible; the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2009-01-01December 26 20132013-12-26June 22 20092009-06-22December 26 20132013-12-26A photograph of a temple abhishekam in progress. In the foreground, a golden deity murti with a crown and a green garment is being bathed, with water poured from a golden pot held by a figure in a red-orange dhoti-style garment and a bare shoulder. Behind, several women and girls stand in a row: a woman in an orange sari with maroon border on the left, young women in white saris with gold borders, a girl in a white kurta with an orange scarf, and a woman in a white sari with gold border holding a garland. Yellow flowers lie on a gold-edged tray at the base of the murti, and water runs down its green garment onto the stone floor.2011-10-06January 14 20182018-01-14
