A dusty unpaved village lane runs past a weathered whitewashed single-storey house with a small barred window and a corrugated roof. Overgrown shrubs and tall trees fill the foreground and back garden, with a utility pole and a parked motorcycle on the left. A washing line with orange cloth hangs behind the house, and thatched or palm-roofed huts stand in the background under a bright blue sky. No people are visible.

A weathered, dilapidated older building with peeling grey and yellow plaster exposing red brick, a tall gabled roofline and small barred windows. A photograph of a dusty street outside a small temple entrance in what looks like a South Indian town. A thatched-roof hut with weathered blue-grey shutters stands at left beside a tree, with bicycles and motorbikes parked along the road. The temple gateway has a blue-trimmed facade with a sculpted deity relief and an arched top, flanked by palm trees. A man in a white shirt stands near a small roadside stall with a yellow awning. Two men walk on the road at right, one in white clothes and one with a white shawl and a bicycle. Power lines run overhead.

A dilapidated rural compound with weathered white-washed walls, a corrugated rusted tin roof on one structure and terracotta tiles on another. Overgrown green grass covers the foreground, a fallen log lies beside a tall coconut palm trunk, and a leafy shrub grows against the building. Coconut palms and trees fill the background under a pale sky, with a purple cloth fluttering on a pole at upper left. No people, ritual activity or a person are visible; the scene shows only abandoned buildings on open land.
