A devotee in white ritual clothes with a yellow shawl stands at the left, raising a small vessel toward a black stone statue. The statue is a seated four-armed deity murti wearing an orange-saffron cloth, a red head wrap, and a garland of yellow, white and purple flowers, set within a white carved arch under trees. Brass plates with offerings sit at the base on an orange-painted platform, and a small inscribed plaque is mounted on the pedestal. The scene appears to be an abhishekam or puja at an outdoor shrine.

The statue wears an orange turban and orange garments, and is draped in thick garlands of yellow marigolds, white jasmine and purple and red flowers. A small red tilak marks its forehead, and it holds a snake-entwined staff and a flame-like object in its upper hands. In the lower left, a woman in a white sari with a gold border leans in and touches her forehead to the statue's base in reverence, a padapuja-style offering.
