Night-time ritual photograph under a white tent canopy at an outdoor puja site. A man with long dark hair, sandalwood-paste markings and a red bindi wears saffron-orange robes and a long gold-bead necklace, seated cross-legged and holding a round brass plate with both hands. A second seated man in orange robes with a similar necklace sits behind a low yellow-brick altar holding a small silver vessel. Fruit, bananas, incense sticks, flower-garlanded pots and marigold petals fill the foreground, with colourful striped and floral hangings on poles behind.2010-02-12July 03 20082008-07-03July 03 20082008-07-03July 03 20082008-07-03A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red bindi sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, speaking into a gooseneck microphone. He wears saffron-orange draped robes and a long dark rudraksha mala, with bare feet resting on a small orange footstool with a brown patterned mat. Behind him stand a garland of yellow and red flowers, a brass kalasha-style vessel, a brass lamp and a decorated shrine area with a draped deity figure.2010-07-23December 23 20092009-12-23A photograph of a seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a white and multicolored flower garland holding a lit oil lamp aarti over a golden pyramid-shaped Meru. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair, a bead-style necklace and bangles, and a vermilion mark on the forehead. Beside him a younger man in plain white clothes with a reddish border kneels and gestures toward the flame. Behind them stand decorated deity murti adorned with garlands and gold ornaments, and a microphone stand is at the left edge. The scene appears to be a Maha Meru aarti ritual. Swamiji (probable) is seated in the centre, identified by saffron robes, long hair and ornate garland cues, performing the aarti.2006-05-21A photo of a seated person in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair, hands pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes lowered, on an orange-draped throne-like seat. Swamiji (probable): the long hair, saffron clothing and ornate gold-bead necklace are visible cues. A gold-bead garland is draped over the seat, with yellow and white flowers at the feet. Behind are gold kalasha-style vessels, a pink-and-gold figure and a green-robed deity murti in a shrine setting.2010-07-24Two seated men in saffron-orange robes face forward on white chairs against a plain white wall. The man on the right has long, swept-back black hair, a red bindi, a gold necklace and a garland of white flowers with red roses, and gestures with his hands while speaking. The bald older man on the left wears an orange shawl over his robe, clasps his hands together and listens, with a small microphone clipped near his collar. Swamiji (probable) is the man on the right, given his long hair, saffron robe, ornate gold necklace and garland, consistent with the page; the man on the left is an elder seated in attendance. Two people are visible.2008-01-01A man with long dark hair and a red bindi sits with eyes closed on a high-backed chair upholstered in zebra-striped fabric, with a microphone stand angled in front of him. He wears an orange saffron robe draped over his shoulders and chest, a dark rudraksha mala and a clear crystal bead necklace. His hands rest in his lap. A bottle and red flowers sit at the left edge against a dark red curtain. Based on appearance cues, this is a person seated in a discourse setting.2008-12-11
