A close overhead view of a square fire pit lined with dark stone or brick, filled with a stack of pale wooden sticks and smaller dark twigs, with a few scattered white granules on top. The pit edges are whitewashed and decorated with fresh flowers in red, yellow and white, and dry grass lies around the rim. No people are visible; this appears to be a prepared homa or yagna fire pit awaiting ignition.

A square brick-lined fire pit sunk into a pale concrete floor, filled with fine grey-white ash. Scattered across the ash are several dark charred lumps and pale chunks. Orange flower petals lie on the floor at the top left corner, and the bare feet of one or two people are visible at the top edge of the frame. The pit is empty of people and no flames are visible.

Close-up of a square fire pit built from pale brick and stone blocks, with a bright open flame burning in the centre. Scattered marigold petals and a few red flower offerings sit on the bricks, incense sticks lie across the edge, and small oil lamps glow at the lower corners. A brass vessel is visible at upper right. No people are visible; the scene suggests a homa or yagna fire ritual.

A square red-painted homa fire pit filled with sand holds a burning fire of sticks and kindling at night. White painted stripes decorate its edges and sides. Nearby on the ground sit a brass vessel, a folded white cloth, scattered flower petals and offering material. No people are visible in the frame.

A brick-built homa fire pit on a tiled floor, with flames and smoke rising from kindling inside a square brick enclosure whose top is dusted with yellow and red powder. Nearby sits a brass plate with rice, a small metal vessel and a wooden bowl of offerings. At the top edge, the lower legs and white-clad knees of a seated person in a yellow-cream cloth are visible, with a bare foot at right, but no face or full figure is shown. Bundles of sticks lie at the right. The page describes a Nithya-Satsang Homa; the visible fire pit with offerings matches a homa, and the seated person's identity cannot be determined from the visible portion.

A photograph of a brick fire pit (homa kunda) with burning wood, its flames rising at centre. Pink lotus flowers and yellow marigold garlands decorate the brick rim, with yellow turmeric-marked spots and white powder patterns. Offerings sit nearby: a bowl of rice, a plate of red flower petals or kumkum, a small bottle and a bowl of red powder. A wooden ladle lies across the pit. Behind, a person in orange cloth sits cross-legged with a rudraksha-style necklace and bare upper body, and others in white dhotis and a maroon-bordered cloth sit on striped mats. Ritual fire worship is shown.

Pink orchid-like flowers, white chrysanthemums, yellow marigolds and green leaves decorate the brick rims. Small clay oil lamps sit at three corners, and dried grass or straw ties are placed diagonally around the pit. No people are visible; the floor is grey concrete beside a green patterned mat.

The brick rim is decorated with turmeric-yellow and red powders, white rice or flour, yellow marigold petals and cinnamon-like sticks. A silver bowl of yellow liquid sits at the left edge, and a hand holding an open book appears at the upper right. No people are clearly visible beyond the hand and a sleeve in white.
