December 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor photograph on a dirt ground beneath trees and a red-and-white canopy with strings of colourful pennant flags. A long-haired man in orange saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and a vibhuti-marked forehead stands centre, hands folded at his chest, smiling. To his left a man in white dhoti and kurta holds a canopy pole, and a uniformed police officer stands behind. On the right an older bald man in orange robes and a shawl stands near another man in white. In the foreground a devotee in white with an orange shawl kneels with bent head before the saffron-clad figures.2007-01-09Outdoor temple procession scene. A man in saffron-orange robes, an orange turban, a long swept-back hair and an ornate gold necklace stands beside a tall wooden staff holding a large lavender and red-tasselled canopy umbrella over the procession (Swamiji (probable), appearance-based label). Beside him, a man in white kurta and white dhoti holds the umbrella pole and wears a rudraksha mala. Women in white and cream saris, one with gold border, and several school-uniformed children stand watching. Behind them rise painted temple sculptures, a colourful deity figure and a striped festival pillar. Plastic bag and green metal scaffolding are visible at the edge.2005-12-31December 23 20082008-12-23May 18 20122012-05-18May 18 20122012-05-18 +1 copiesA photograph of a festival procession at an outdoor village setting. In the foreground a man in an orange turban, orange robe and a long gold ceremonial necklace stands beside a large purple and white ceremonial umbrella with red tassels, holding its wooden pole. A second man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala stands next to him, also holding the pole. Behind them a crowd of schoolchildren in white shirts and uniforms watch, and women in cream and gold-bordered saris stand nearby. A decorated chariot with orange and gold fabric and a colourful painted temple structure appears in the background. The orange-robed man has long hair and is consistent with the probable Swamiji appearance cues of long hair, saffron clothing and gold necklace, shown here as a participant in the procession.2005-12-31Outdoor procession on a dirt road. A man in an orange saffron robe, orange turban with a red tilak, and a heavy gold bead necklace with a pendant walks beneath a large red and gold ceremonial umbrella (chhatra) held on a long pole. Beside him a man in white kurta with rudraksha mala and glasses holds the pole. Behind, an older woman in white with grey hair and a red bindi and a person in white carry a red and blue banner. Onlookers in dhoti and checked lungi stand along the roadside. Ceremonial umbrella and banner indicate a procession; the orange-robed figure has a turban, gold bead necklace and long hair, consistent with Swamiji (probable), appearing in person.2005-12-31January 12 20072007-01-12Outdoor procession on a dusty road under a clear blue sky. A man in saffron robes and an orange turban walks at the front, wearing a rudraksha mala. Behind him, a figure in saffron stands with a tall golden-topped staff, and several people in white dhotis and kurtas follow. Two people in saffron shawls hold colourful umbrellas with blue, orange and red fringed canopies and gold finials over the group. A devotee in white kneels and prostrates on the ground in front of the procession. A photographer with a camera stands at the left edge, and people in white and saffron line the path, with trees and a few small buildings in the background.2007-02-02December 23 20072007-12-23Outdoor photograph on a dry, sandy riverbank under a clear blue sky, with trees in the background. A bare-chested man in orange dhoti and saffron cloth stands at centre, with long dark hair and an extended hand, under a large red parasol fringed with colourful tassels held by an attendant in white. A man in white kurta bends low to touch the sand near the robed figure's feet. Around them, devotees crowd close: a woman in a red sari with a red-and-gold bindi on the left, girls in yellow and orange dresses in the foreground, and men in white shirts and dhotis. A man in a light-orange robe stands behind the central figure. The scene reads as a respectful darshan or pada-puja style gathering on the riverside.2007-02-02
