September 05 20162016-09-05A photo of a homa fire pit with a square yellow-ochre brick frame decorated with white painted swirl patterns and small star motifs. Bright orange flames rise from charred wood and ash inside, with scraps of paper burning among the embers. A bare foot is visible at the top left corner, and brass vessels and a lamp stand sit on a surface at the upper right. No people are visible apart from the foot, so the scene reads as an offering fire ritual rather than a gathering.2016-09-05A square yellow-painted fire pit, a homa or yagna kunda, is the main subject, decorated with white painted swirls and five-pointed star motifs. Flames and smoke rise from burning wood inside. At the top right, a person in orange robes with a gold border sits on a mat behind the pit, with brass vessels of grain and flowers and a brass lamp nearby.
