A procession line of young boys in saffron and orange sannyasi-style cloths stands on a dirt ground beneath a corrugated shelter and trees. Many boys have white sacred ash or tilak marks on their foreheads and bodies, and some wear rudraksha malas. On the left, a man in a white dhoti with gold borders holds a long staff topped with a ceremonial finial and bracelets, and he is looking at a phone. Behind the line, a flag with ornate embroidery is raised on a pole, and a videographer's camera is visible. A boy at right holds small cymbals or hand bells. The scene appears to be a ritual procession with a pada puja or satsang gathering.2014-08-17Outdoor procession on a dirt path under shady trees. A bare-chested figure at upper left wears an orange cloth and stands on an ornate golden palanquin or ratha with a decorated panel. Several colourful umbrellas with fringed tassels are held aloft over the procession. Devotees in orange and saffron robes walk in front, and a young woman in orange carries a small metal deity murti framed in a golden arch. A man in white shirt and white dhoti stands in the middle directing the procession, and a younger person in an orange shawl carries a brass vessel on a tray at right. Men and women in white and orange clothing line the path.2006-12-19 +1 copiesOutdoor procession on a dirt path during a temple-style festival, with a crowd of devotees on both sides. Central figure wears orange robes, a long white-and-orange flower garland and a rudraksha mala, with long dark hair and a beard; he appears to be a person, identified by long swept-back hair, ceremonial garland and orange ornate clothing. Surrounding him are orange-robed sannyasis and women in white and orange saris holding long poles and multicolored fringed umbrellas. Behind them a decorated palanquin or ratha carries a framed portrait and deity murti under a green-and-red arch, with white tents and palm trees in the background.2008-12-23April 19 20082008-04-19December 30 20082008-12-30December 23 20082008-12-23A procession on a dirt road beside a red brick wall. A decorated chariot or float carries a deity murti under a red and gold canopy, pulled along by people, with a trident-topped staff at left and a colourful umbrella at right. One man in a red turban and orange robe holds a garland, and an incense smoke trail rises near the wall. Some people press palms together in greeting. No individual shows clear, distinctive presentation cues, so the candidate is unsure.2015-11-16December 30 20092009-12-30Outdoor procession in a dirt courtyard with palm trees behind. Several people in white dhotis and kurtas, some wearing orange or saffron shawls, carry decorated umbrellas with red, orange and blue fabric and tassels, and one man holds a tall ceremonial staff. Two large umbrellas with multicoloured canopies and tassels shade the scene; the nearer one is held by a man in saffron and an ornate golden trident-topped staff rises beside them. Devotees in saffron and orange robes walk alongside, some with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and gold pendants. A woman in a white sari with a red border waves a yellow-orange fan or cloth. Behind them an ornately decorated palanquin or deity float with a garlanded deity murti and a rainbow-coloured arch is carried forward.
