Photograph taken through a dark stone doorway into a long covered colonnade of ancient temple stone with carved walls. Several tourists walk along the stone floor toward a bright exit at the far end: a man in a green backpack and maroon shirt, a child in light clothes, and a man in a plaid shirt and khaki shorts. Red metal stanchions with a rope rail line the walkway. Carved relief figures are visible on the side walls. No deity murti, a person candidate, or ritual activity is visible.

A long stone gallery at Angkor Wat, Cambodia, with a corbelled ceiling of weathered sandstone blocks and a row of square pillars along the right side. Wooden railings line a worn stone walkway that leads toward a distant doorway at the far end, where light falls through. The carved wall on the left is pitted and aged. No people are visible in the corridor, though a small figure is faintly visible near the far doorway.

Visitors walk through the stone colonnade of an ancient temple. A man in an orange-saffron robe with long hair and a wooden mala stands in the centre, appearing to be a sannyasi; the appearance of a person is noted by his saffron robe, long swept hair and rudraksha-style mala, but identity is uncertain from appearance alone. Nearby, a woman in white clothing walks beside a man in a teal shirt and cargo trousers, while a man in a white t-shirt and shorts faces away holding a camera. A man in a yellow-orange shirt and dark trousers stands at right beside a woman in a khaki outfit with a scarf.

A long covered colonnade of weathered sandstone pillars at an ancient temple complex, with a worn stone walkway receding into the distance. Several pillars are wrapped with rusty metal bands for structural support. Green lawn and leafy trees are visible beyond the open side of the gallery, and the carved ceiling beams overhead are dark with age. No people are visible.

A photograph of a ruined stone corridor at an Angkor-style temple complex in Cambodia. Weathered sandstone pillars and wall sections, some stained reddish-brown and patched with green lichen, line a long paved floor of worn flagstones. The passage recedes through a series of doorways and collapsed roof sections toward a dark opening framed by trees under an overcast sky. No people are visible, and there are no ritual objects or deity images in the frame.

Photo inside a stone colonnade of an ancient temple with weathered red-pitted pillars and carved lintels. A group walks down the aisle toward a yellow-draped doorway. In front, a man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, with a wrap-like shawl draped over one arm; he is a person candidate, walking as a visiting leader among the group. Around him, several people in white kurtas and orange shawls with mala necklaces walk with him, and a man in a white shirt holding a booklet stands at the right edge. Other visitors in colourful saris and shirts walk behind, and a few others pass further back.

Photograph of an ancient stone temple complex at Angkor Wat, Cambodia, showing a long sandstone gallery with a tiled roof, carved decorative friezes and rows of square and round pillars. Three weathered, tiered tower spires rise above the roofline against a pale sky. Open passages lead into the inner courtyard, with worn stone steps at the lower left. No people are visible in the scene. The architecture shows lichen staining and erosion typical of the historic site.

Photograph of a long stone colonnade inside a South Indian temple, with carved pillars and brackets along both sides and a dark ornate ceiling above. Several dozen small groups of devotees walk down the central aisle toward a distant lit doorway; a few are in white and cream clothing, with a woman in a sari near the centre and one lit oil lamp glowing on the walkway. No clearly identifiable central figure is visible.
