They sit in white plastic chairs on green carpeting, with blue draping and stage backdrops visible at the far end. Many wear name badges and some carry bags. Their attention is directed toward the front, consistent with a Kalpataru programme session in Chennai.2010-02-14 +1 copiesA large seated crowd under a canopy of blue posts and a red-and-white tent fabric. Most attendees wear white shirts and white dhotis or trousers; several men wear rudraksha malas. Women in saris of pink, green, orange and blue sit among them. Many faces are turned toward the front, outside the frame. The gathering appears to be an outdoor programme with devotees sitting closely together on the ground and on chairs.2007-08-17January 01 20092009-01-01June 19 20142014-06-19A large outdoor gathering of seated devotees fills most of the frame, facing toward the right and watching an event off-camera. Many sit on turquoise and red plastic chairs. Men wear white shirts and dhotis, and others wear checked and striped shirts in orange, teal and cream. Women in saris of teal, orange and yellow sit among them, and several children sit in the front row. Above the crowd, pots of flowers and decorated kalasha-like arrangements are visible against green foliage. No a person is clearly visible in the frame.2006-11-13January 12 20072007-01-12A large outdoor crowd stands in rows at dusk, many with palms pressed together in namaskar or hands folded in prayer. Men in white shirts and dhotis, women in saris in orange, blue, gold and green, and young people in casual shirts face forward toward an unseen focal point. Red plastic chairs are scattered among the standing devotees, and tall banners with illuminated lettering hang on poles in the background, with a scaffold and a blue vehicle at left. The scene suggests a devotional gathering or pada puja, though the focal stage is not visible.2010-01-24
