On the left a person in an orange-saffron robe holds a brass lamp with a lit flame and a small brass vessel, while behind them a figure in white with an orange shawl stands with palms pressed together. Near the centre a kneeling figure in white and red cloth with a gold waist band sits before a large dark stone deity murti draped with white and red garments, garlands and a pink flower string. Red-smeared offerings and a kalasha-like base lie on the ground. The scene suggests aarti at a deity murti.2006-12-11December 20 20062006-12-20A night-time photograph at an outdoor sacred grove under large banyan trees. Around them about a dozen men stand with palms pressed together in namaste, several in white dhotis and orange shawls, one in an orange turban and orange robe, another in a maroon shirt. A tall metal flagstaff stands at left with strands of white cloth hanging from its top. Offerings and a brass kalasha sit on the ground.2006-12-20Outdoors at dusk, a bearded man with long dark hair, wearing a red-brown dhoti-style cloth and a garland of yellow and red flowers, stands with palms pressed together in namaskar before a decorated deity murti. A second priest in orange robes holds a lit oil lamp near the murti. The murti is adorned with silver ornaments, a crown, and garlands of yellow and red marigolds, set on a golden-yellow draped palanquin-like platform with brass vessels in front.
