A long-haired man with a forehead band of orange-red sindoor sits within a stainless steel railing, wearing layered rudraksha malas, a gold ornamental necklace with white flower garlands, gold armlets and a rudraksha-beaded chest shawl over reddish-orange cloth. A bare-chested attendant in orange dhoti and rudraksha mala pours water or oil over his head from a steel vessel, while another attendant in white dhoti and red-bordered shawl stands behind, and a man in a yellow checked shirt holds a steel pot at right. Multiple people are visible around the group, and the scene is ritual and devotional.2016-06-03A seated man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at left with both arms raised, pressing a red-and-gold cloth onto the head of a smiling man at centre-right who is draped in thick garlands of yellow, white, red and purple flowers and a long red-and-white bead mala. Behind them is a gold throne with ornate carved backrest and a silver tray holding offerings. A woman in an orange sari with gold jewellery stands beside the throne, and a shaved-headed devotee is visible at lower right. Peacock feathers and marigolds decorate the scene, and a framed photograph of a tree hangs on the wall behind. This appears to be a ceremonial honouring with garlands and a cloth presentation.2013-01-06Outdoor river bank scene at a Kumbhamela-style bathing event, with water and sandy shore behind. A central figure with a red-and-gold headwrap, tilak on forehead, and an orange-saffron robe holds a golden trident (trishul) decorated with yellow and red flower garlands. Around him, many hands reach toward a golden-wrapped metal pot (kalasha) with flowers while water splashes over people. Several men in orange saffron robes and white dhotis surround him; a smiling man on the right wears orange clothing and tilak. Water is poured over the group during ritual abhishekam-style bathing.2010-01-30January 30 20102010-01-30January 13 20152015-01-13June 05 20122012-06-05January 30 20102010-01-30A photograph of a ceremonial reception where a seated central figure wears a saffron turban decorated with pink and white flowers and is draped in marigold and multicolored flower garlands. The central person, with hands pressed together, smiles while a group of saffron-robed attendants surrounds them, several wearing gold chains and rudraksha malas. A bearded man in orange kneels at lower left, and a clean-shaven attendant at right raises a hand in blessing while holding a plastic-wrapped bundle of flowers. Camera equipment is visible at the lower edge, and a bright doorway or window glows in the background.2013-02-12Two seated men receive a ceremonial bath or abhishekam on a decorated seat with carved red-gold metal framing. The man on the right wears a drenched red-orange robe and a white-beaded necklace, a yellow marigold garland, and has his hands extended toward the water. The man on the left wears a dark maroon robe over a brown shawl with a yellow marigold garland and red flowers, smiling with eyes lowered, and has red-brown ritual marks on his forehead and bangles on his wrist. Behind them, several men in saffron and orange robes, one with a rudraksha bead garland, stand and hold offerings. A decorated brass-and-painted kalasha pot is poured at the left edge. The scene looks like a ritual bathing ceremony, possibly with a procession, with a red carpeted floor visible.2015-01-13January 30 20102010-01-30
