A seated figure in orange-red robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions and white and red floral garlands. He wears a rudraksha mala and a gold armlet and holds a silver ritual vessel while a man in white dhoti and shirt, wearing a rudraksha mala, offers something into his hand. On the right, a young man in orange robes with a long beaded necklace and folded hands stands near, while several children in school uniforms and a girl in a blue dress watch. Pink and gold drapes form the backdrop. The seated figure has long swept-back hair and distinctive ceremonial adornments, consistent with a person.2009-07-11July 11 20092009-07-11Photograph of a seated figure on an ornate silver throne with red-and-black upholstery, in front of a red and white patterned backdrop with red and yellow flower garlands draped above. The seated figure wears an orange saffron robe over a red undershirt, with a white tilak on the forehead and hair swept back, and holds a thin stick or wand while touching it toward a devotee's hand. A woman in a red blouse and white sari with red border stands at left. Two men in white ritual clothes stand at right, one with his hands cupped forward, and a young man in a white shirt with a dark cord stands at far right. The seated figure has distinctive orange robes and swept-back hair consistent with the Swamiji (probable) candidate, seated in the role of the one giving padha pooja, a ritual of honouring the feet. Five people are visible.2009-08-25July 11 20092009-07-11A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes on an ornate gold throne decorated with red and white flower garlands and striped red cushions. He smiles and gestures with raised open palms while an older man in a white shirt and grey trousers leans in toward him, hands extended, wearing a red wristband. To the right, a younger man with long swept-back hair and an orange garment rests his chin on his hand. Behind them hangs a painted cloth backdrop with pale stylised tree and branch motifs. Visible identity cues include long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a ceremonial throne, consistent with Swamiji (probable) seated as the honoured guest.2009-08-01July 11 20092009-07-11July 11 20092009-07-11A long-haired figure in a flowing red robe stands on a gold throne draped with garlands of yellow, orange, red and white flowers, a red cushion beneath. A gold trident stands behind the throne against a blue and gold backdrop. Before the throne, an older man in a blue-and-white striped shirt bends forward to touch the seated figure's hands, while a man in white kurta and white dhoti with silver hair tied back watches. A woman in a maroon and gold sari stands at right, and a young child in a dark jacket stands at lower right. Strings of lights hang along the backdrop.2010-12-22July 07 20092009-07-07A seated man in an orange-red robe and sleeveless orange top sits on an ornate gilded throne with red zebra-striped cushions, wearing long red and yellow garlands and a flower tucked in his hair. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti bends forward, clasping his hands in greeting or reverence before him, while another man in white with an orange shawl and a devotee in orange stand nearby. Behind the throne are a green-and-gold drape, a gilded backrest with a deity murti relief, and a brass tray of offerings. Printed copyright text overlays the lower right of the image.2009-06-13May 03 20162016-05-03A photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold throne decorated with yellow and red marigold garlands and green leaves. He wears an orange saffron robe over a red inner garment and has a red tilak on his forehead; he smiles while accepting a folded white paper from a boy in a white shirt. Two other children in white stand nearby, a girl with long dark hair on the right and a boy partially visible on the left. The throne sits against a red-and-orange backdrop, and a red-and-tiger-stripe cushion is visible at the seat. The person on the throne is a person by appearance cues: an orange robe, a seated throne position and a red forehead mark, though his face and hair are not distinctive enough to be certain.2009-08-27 +1 copies
