December 24 20082008-12-24December 24 20082008-12-24A photograph of a long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes seated on an orange-draped cushion with a zebra-print pillow, bending to touch a naked infant's feet on a yellow-and-red flower mat. The infant lies on a rounded brass tray with a small white-and-blue dressed baby beside it. Around them, a crowd of devotees watches: a man in orange holds a white clipboard and pen, several women in orange and yellow saris stand nearby, and a girl in white with a beaded necklace and ID badge smiles. A man in orange holds a ceremonial staff with a golden finial at left, and an attendant in white stands near the seated figure. Red carpet and a striped mat cover the floor. The seated figure appears to be a person by appearance cues including long swept-back hair and saffron robes, with the page indicating his presence.2008-12-24A seated figure in orange-saffron robes with long dark hair and gold chain sits on a wooden seat draped in a zebra-striped cushion, receiving a tray of offerings from a small child in white dhoti-style clothing with a red border. The tray holds flowers, fruit including bananas, and a green leaf wrapped in red cloth. Standing and kneeling devotees behind include women in saffron shawls and white saris, a woman in pink and white sari wearing a rudraksha mala, and men in white. A ceremonial staff with gold finial stands at left, and a red carpet and floor mat with a smiley design lie in the foreground.2008-12-24December 24 20082008-12-24December 24 20082008-12-24A seated man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe and a zebra-striped cloth on his seat, places his right hand on the head of a young boy kneeling before him in a white dhoti with a maroon border. The boy's palms are joined. Behind them, devotees in white and orange clothing stand and sit, including a woman in a white sari with a red border and women in white saris. A brass tray holds small offerings, a golden staff stands at left, and a colourful floral kolam decorates the floor. Tented canopy with tassels and a parked silver SUV appear in the background. Appearance suggests the orange-robed man is the probable Swamiji, given his long hair, saffron robe and the page's note, while the blessing is a darshan-style gesture.2008-12-24December 24 20082008-12-24July 04 20142014-07-04 +1 copiesDecember 24 20082008-12-242004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02A photograph of a devotional gathering in a hall with a red carpet. A seated man in saffron robes and an orange turban, wearing a multicolour flower garland, smiles while a person in dark clothing with a colourful sash bows and touches his feet. Around them, men in white shirts and saffron shawls, some wearing rudraksha malas, stand or kneel, and women in white and pink flower garlands watch. Pink and white flower garlands are visible in the foreground. Ceremonial padapuja appears to be taking place. The seated figure's clothing and turban are distinctive, and the page indicates the event involves a person, so this is a person appearance in person, though the face is not visible to confirm.2007-01-12
