December 16 20092009-12-16December 16 20092009-12-16A row of polished brass kalashas, pot-shaped ritual vessels with flared rims and beaded edges, stands in a diagonal line across a deep purple cloth. A green cloth and a silver vessel appear at the upper right, and the background is softly blurred. No people are visible.2011-11-10Close photograph of several polished brass kalasha pots with rounded bodies and beaded rims, water spraying and splashing over them, droplets catching light. A pale ivory-coloured ring or base sits at the lower left, and the pots rest on a grey stone surface. The water spray suggests an abhishekam or ritual washing.2011-11-14January 03 20082008-01-03November 10 20112011-11-10Dense rows of brass kalasha pots wrapped in white netting cover a white cloth. Each pot has a brass rim and a coconut with a reddish-pink husk topped with green mango leaves, and the netting is dotted with red kumkum marks. The arrangement looks like ritual preparation for a homa or yagna, with the pots set out in rows across the foreground. No people are visible in the frame, though a partial figure in white clothing appears at the top edge.2006-07-16February 16 20072007-02-16December 16 20092009-12-16Close-up photo of three polished brass kalasha pots lined up in a row, each wrapped in a diamond-pattern网 of white thread and marked with red kumkum paste near the rim. Mango leaves are tucked into the mouths of the pots, and a brass plate with white grains sits beneath each pot on a broad green leaf. The background is blurred, showing a person in white clothing at the left edge. These kalasha arrangements are typical of a puja or homa setup.2009-09-25September 26 20062006-09-26Close photograph of three polished brass kalasha pots standing on brass plates, wrapped in white thread in a diamond lattice pattern and topped with mango leaves and orange coconut fibre. Red kumkum marks dot the pots, and small heaps of white grain sit on the plates. A green leaf lies in the foreground and the background is blurred, with no people visible. The setting suggests a ritual preparation such as a homa or puja, though no people or a person are shown.2009-09-25 +1 copies
