In the centre a man with long swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange robe, a white and red flower garland, and a gold necklace, smiling with his arms outstretched as if speaking or dancing. Behind him a crowd of devotees stands with hands folded in namaste; many women wear white saris with yellow or gold borders and orange shawls, and several men wear saffron robes. A small child in pink shorts and a white top stands at right, holding a man's hand. The floor is white tile with a dark border line and scattered petals. A probable Swamiji is in person, identified by the long swept-back hair, saffron robe, and ceremonial gold necklace with garland, as the page indicates his presence at this event. The group totals about 21-100 people visible.2008-12-23A photograph of a crowded indoor hall during a festive dance procession at a Brahmotsava event. A central man in saffron-orange robes with long wavy hair and a white flower garland dances barefoot on a tiled floor. Around him, devotees in white clothes with saffron and yellow shawls clap and sway, and many more people stand along the walls. A man in orange robes holds a tall ornate golden staff at left. A blue draped backdrop and banners hang in the background. Several dozen people are visible in the hall.2008-12-23Photograph of a hall with a polished marble floor and colourful striped bunting hanging from the ceiling. Two rows of people stand with palms pressed together in anjali along both sides, men in white on the left and women in white and blue saris on the right. In the centre, two figures in saffron/orange robes walk forward down the aisle, one with a rudraksha mala around the neck, followed by a man in white. A deity shrine with garlands is visible at the far end, and a small wooden pedestal or table sits near the aisle. Several people are seated on the floor in the background. The scene suggests a satsang or puja procession.2010-10-07A photograph of a large hall with a tented white ceiling, hanging fans and colourful decorative cloth banners on pillars. A central figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with long, swept-back dark hair walks barefoot across a pale floor between two lines of devotees. The figure is in the centre of the frame with hands at the chest in greeting. Devotees on both sides stand with palms pressed together in namaste on orange and blue mats, wearing white dhotis, white kurtas and sarees. A tripod-mounted camera stands at the left edge of the frame. Some devotees wear rudraksha malas and orange shawls, and several children stand at the front. The scene suggests a satsang or darshan-style welcome.2010-07-24December 23 20082008-12-23October 08 20062006-10-08October 07 20062006-10-07
