A night photograph inside a plain whitewashed hall with a corrugated roof and a tall striped cloth-wrapped pole against the wall. Men and women in white clothes stand in a line with hands folded in prayer. In the foreground a man in white prostrates full length on the floor. At left a bald man in white with an outstretched hand appears to bless or touch the head of a standing devotee. A bearded man at right wears a saffron-orange shawl over white clothes and a rudraksha-style necklace. A woman in a green sari stands near the wall.

Night outdoor scene at an open paved ground, lit by a bright lamp at upper right. A long line of people stands at left, many in white and cream clothing, with women in saris including a purple and a teal one. In the centre, a man in a white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl stands with his back to the camera. Seated on a folding chair at right is a figure in orange robes with bare feet, holding a small object in their hands, while a man in a checked shirt kneels on a mat before them. A person in white with an orange shawl stands at the right edge, and a man in white with a red-orange shawl stands in the background. A tent-like structure and a banner stand behind them.

A photograph of a long line of devotees standing in a dimly lit hall with a high metal roof and bright spotlights, facing toward the front. Men wear white shirts and white dhotis, some with name badges. Women wear saris and salwar kameez in pink, orange, blue, striped black and white, and red-patterned colours. A woman in a light blue striped salwar holds a small infant wrapped in pink. A man at left in a white shirt holds a dark mala. A kneeling attendant in white with a ponytail sits at the lower left corner. No a person candidate is visible in the frame.

A night-time photograph of a long line of devotees standing on a sandy ground at an outdoor event. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at left, and beside him a man in a white shirt wears a rudraksha mala. A woman in a blue embroidered saree stands with hands folded in namaste. Next are women in cream and red sarees, a young woman in white with a magenta shawl, and a man in white shirt and dhoti with palms pressed together. Children in white and an orange-clad child stand in the line, and older women in sarees and men in white clothes continue into the darkness. A few people appear to hold their hands joined in prayer. The posture suggests a procession or darshan queue. No deity, throne, or ritual object is clearly visible.

Night-time photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors in front of a red-walled building with a small lit doorway. In the centre, a bare-chested man in an orange dhoti with a red sash stands with his back to the camera, facing a line of devotees who wear white clothes. Many people in white or cream kurtas and saris stand in rows, some holding small cloth bags or packets, and several children are in the front. A woman on the left wears a white sari with an orange border and a beaded necklace. Nobody in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance alone, so the central figure is described by role only.

A photograph inside an open-sided pavilion with a corrugated and thatched roof and a bare concrete floor. A seated man in saffron wrap and white dress, with a shaved head, sits on a red mat behind a white-draped table holding a basket of offerings, papers and flowers. He is attended by a standing man in white dress with an orange shawl and a rudraksha-style necklace who holds papers. Before them, a man in white kneels with palms pressed together in namaskar. Along the right, a long queue of about thirty women and girls in white, saffron, pink and multicoloured saris and salwars stands behind blue metal barriers, several holding small items. A white-clad attendant stands at the far right edge.

A photograph of a darshan line in a tented hall. On the left, a long-haired man in an orange saffron wrap and a white flower garland sits on a raised platform, smiling and gesturing toward a kneeling family. A man in a white shirt and an orange shawl stands nearby. In front, a kneeling man in white shirt and a girl in pink with a small child sit with hands folded. Behind them, a woman in a white sari and others stand in a queue. On the right, a young boy in white with a chain necklace stands, and men in white dhotis and other devotees move through the hall. Plain fans, bright striped hangings and tent walls are visible. The seated figure's long swept hair, orange wrap and garland match the probable-identity cues; this is a person in the darshan setting.

A night-time temple scene with a seated figure in long loose-swept dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, hands pressed together in namaskar on a white-covered seat. Beside and below, a devotee in white with an orange shawl sits on a woven mat, and another man lies prostrate in white on the floor, head toward the seat, as in a padapuja or prostration. Around them, a standing and seated crowd in white and orange garments watch, several with hands folded; a woman in a red sari and a woman in green sit to the left. A pedestal fan stands near the centre, a kalasha-like brass vessel and a brass lamp sit by the carved stone wall, and a red curtain hangs on the right.
