ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti stands in a gilded temple hall, raising a brass multi-wick oil lamp (aarti) in his right hand while ringing a small brass handbell in his left. He wears a long rudraksha mala with large beads and a pendant, and has a white tilak on his forehead. Behind him are gold-framed pictures, draped red, orange and blue fabric, and gilded ritual vessels. In the right foreground stands a black polished nandi (bull) statue with a red-and-green garland. The scene suggests an aarti during pada puja.2021-08-21A man performs a ritual at a temple setting with ornate golden vessels and carved stone pillars behind him. He stands bare-chested, wearing a long rudraksha mala draped over his shoulders, an orange saffron cloth wrap, and a red tilak on his forehead. He raises a silver ceremonial fan-shaped implement with his right hand while holding a small golden ritual object in his left, with a rudraksha bracelet on his wrist. His long hair is tied up in a bun. The setting appears to be a ritual arathi or puja in progress.2021-08-21ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21November 27 20182018-11-27ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21November 18 20182018-11-18Photograph of a man with long dreadlocked hair falling down his back, eyes lowered and smiling, with white vertical markings on his forehead and a short beard. He wears a rust-red wrap over bare shoulders and reaches forward with his arm extended toward something out of frame. Behind him stands a figure in white and gold-bordered dhoti with a gold necklace and a rudraksha-style ornament. Blurred figures and a brass object appear in the background. Appearance is consistent with a person candidate in a ritual setting.2017-06-18November 28 20182018-11-28December 23 20162016-12-23November 27 20182018-11-27
