A temple ritual inside a pillared hall: a man in a red shawl and red dhoti stands on a raised platform, reaching out to touch a crowned deity murti seated on a red-draped throne decorated with yellow and red garlands and white flowers. Beside him an attendant in white holds a flaming oil lamp, and a shaven-headed priest in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala holds a brass tray of offerings. Gold lamp stands and a gilded arch frame the scene. The people visible are three priests or attendants and the man in red, so the count is 2-5 physically present.2011-11-06Evening temple ritual in a stone-pillared hall. A man in a red dhoti and red shawl with a beaded rudraksha-style necklace stands on a raised platform holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a large deity murti. The murti is seated on a golden throne, draped in red and green silk, wearing a tall crown and heavy garlands of yellow and red flowers, and it holds a golden staff. Two attendants stand nearby: one in white dhoti with a gold necklace holds a tray, and one in saffron robe with beads holds a plate. A brass oil lamp stand and a gold ceremonial pot stand at left, and a smaller seated figure in red garlands sits at right. Appearance-based cues for the central man are inconclusive, so the identity is recorded as unsure.2011-11-06May 02 20122012-05-02Temple scene of a deity couple adorned for worship, seated on a gold-framed throne against a red drape and heaped with flower garlands in red, yellow, white and purple. Two golden-faced murtis wear crowns and jewelry; the figure on the left has a red headdress. A standing woman in orange-red robes with a flower garland pours or applies an offering over the left murti's head, while a shaven-headed man in orange clothing kneels at the lower left. Floral hangings and a gold staff appear at the right.2012-05-02Temple scene of a ceremonial offering to two golden deity murtis seated on an ornate gilded throne with red drapery and dense flower garlands in yellow, red and white. In the centre, a figure with a bare upper body and swept-up hair in a red dhoti-style cloth raises one arm and holds a brass plate near the murtis. On the left, a priest in a white dhoti and an ornate gold-patterned crown holds out his hand toward the plate. Gold hanging ornaments and a garland decorate the lower part of the altar. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam at a temple shrine.2012-05-02March 03 20112011-03-03 +1 copiesMarch 03 20112011-03-03 +1 copiesA temple shrine in a carved stone mandapa shows an abhishekam or puja before a deity murti dressed in red garments, crowned and garlanded with yellow and red flower chains. A priest in a red-orange dhoti and shawl stands at the top of the shrine reaching toward the deity's crown, while a second priest in saffron-orange robes and a bald head bends forward holding a ritual vessel. A young attendant in white dhoti with gold border and a sacred thread stands at the left holding a brass plate. Brass oil lamps flank the shrine, a kalasha and offerings sit at the base, and red curtains hang in the background.2011-11-06November 06 20112011-11-06November 06 20112011-11-06May 02 20122012-05-02December 22 20102010-12-22
