Outdoor photo on a dusty reddish-brown dirt clearing bordered by dense green trees. A group of about ten people walks in a loose line across the ground. Most wear white garments: white dhotis and white shirts, and several women wear white saris with orange or yellow borders. Several walkers have orange or saffron shawls draped over their shoulders. The figure third from the right in the line wears a full orange robe and has long dark hair, and the person just behind him is in white. On the left, a man in white walks barefoot with his palms pressed together in greeting, and a man in a light shirt and grey trousers stands watching near the trees. At right, a man in white stands near a row of footwear placed on the ground, and a low brick stack sits by the trees.2006-10-07October 27 20082008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27A photograph of a procession walking along a dirt path between green trees. In the foreground, a bearded man in orange robes walks ahead with a small bundle at his waist, while behind him an older bald man in orange follows. A young man with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a red-trimmed orange shawl, raises one hand in greeting while holding a brass kalasha pot with green leaves. Another figure in orange carries a similar pot. Behind them, men in white dhotis and kurtas, and one in a saffron-yellow shawl, walk in a line. Red bricks are stacked on the left beside a small building.2009-08-03Outdoor photo at an open dirt ground at AadiKailaasa, Bengaluru, with a smoking heap of ash and debris on the left and a pile of earth beside it. Around fifty people in white clothes, many wearing orange shawls or sashes, walk and stand in loose lines toward a single-storey building with a green corrugated roof and a tree behind it. One figure in white with an orange shawl walks in the foreground, and a person in white stands on the mound at the far left. The scene resembles a ritual procession or homa-related gathering, though no clearly identifiable deity form or ceremonial object is visible. No candidate is clearly identifiable as a person by appearance.2008-10-27A group of devotees walks along a dirt path through dry scrub and trees, with rocks on the ground at right. In the centre, two young men in saffron-orange robes lead the way, the nearer one barefoot in a flowing orange cloth with a yellow-shawled shoulder, the other in orange with a folded wrap. Behind them, women in white and cream saris, one in a green-bordered sari, and men in white shirts and yellow shawls follow. A cameraperson with a video camera stands at the right edge. The walk is a circumambulation of a hill, and the photo shows a procession of several dozen people in mostly white clothes. The visible people number roughly fifteen to twenty.2009-08-05October 27 20082008-10-27A dirt path winds through a dry, grassy clearing among slender trees with bright green foliage. Several people in white clothing are scattered along the path: a man in white with an orange cloth draped over his shoulder stands at left, a woman in white and a woman in orange-bordered white stand near the centre, and a few people crouch or kneel on the ground in the middle distance. A pale concrete building with a blue-grey roof and a low wall sits behind the trees. The scene appears to be an outdoor gathering with people doing hands-on work on the ground.2007-05-09October 27 20082008-10-27Outdoors on a dirt path beside tall coconut palms and dense green foliage, a group of about ten people in white clothing gathers near a small structure. Several women wear white or cream garments, some with orange shawls or orange sashes draped over their shoulders. One woman on the right wears a dark beaded necklace and carries a bundle of dried palm fronds. Others hold dry palm fronds and sticks, apparently gathering or arranging them. A man with white hair and a white robe stands in the center-left, near a small grey object, appearing to watch or assist. A metal pole stands at the left edge beside a shrub.2007-05-04June 20 20082008-06-20August 09 20102010-08-09
