October 07 20132013-10-07Close view of a ritual setup on a silver-embossed tray. In a polished steel bowl sits a cylindrical brass or metal object, with pink rose petals placed on top and a thin stream of water poured over it from a brass vessel with a long spout. A second steel bowl sits in the foreground, and a brass dish holding more pink rose petals rests at the upper left. A corner of orange and maroon cloth is visible at the right. No people are visible in the frame, so this suggests an abhishekam offering of water and flowers to a sacred object.2013-09-09A small brass shivalinga sits on a round brass yoni-pitha base inside a polished steel bowl on a silver-textured cloth. Water flows in a thin stream from above onto the linga, pooling in the basin during abhishekam. Behind it, a brass plate with orange flowers is visible. No people are shown.2014-10-06Close view of a ceremonial puja arrangement on an ornate gold-toned platform with repoussé floral scrollwork. Several silver puja thalis with scalloped rims hold silver bowls, small cups, and a silver kalasha-style vessel, with pink lotus flowers and white jasmine-like flowers placed in them. Two gold-coloured padukas (sandal-shaped footwear) sit in the centre with knobbed handles.2010-10-03Close-up photo of a brass object resting in a shallow stainless steel bowl filled with water, set on an embossed silver-toned metal tray. The brass item has a rounded base and a hinged lid with knob fittings, topped with a single pink flower. Water droplets cling to the bowl's rim and a second empty steel bowl sits to the right. No people are visible.2013-09-30July 07 20092009-07-07Close overhead photo of a polished silver-toned bowl on an embossed silver-coloured cloth with floral and paisley patterns. Clear water flows from a brass spout or abhishekam vessel into the bowl, and a single yellow flower floats on the surface. No people are visible.2013-10-07Close-up photograph of a ritual tray set on a pink and white patterned cloth. A polished silver tray holds ornate gold-embossed wooden boxes, a small silver shivling with a Shiva lingam, red roses, a magenta hibiscus flower and yellow marigolds, plus a gold kalasha-style finial with a red stone. Silver bowls and a small silver spoon sit in the background, and a peach cloth with yellow flowers lies at the lower left. No people are visible.2013-07-06August 07 20112011-08-07August 05 20102010-08-05Close-up photograph of a polished brass tray on a red, teal and pink checked cloth. On the tray sit a small silver-toned figure of a temple tower or lingam-like shrine form, a silver plate with small brass cups tipped with red, scattered red rose petals and yellow flower petals, and a glinting metal disc. Shallow focus blurs the foreground. No people are visible. This appears to be an offering or puja arrangement.2014-10-05 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a ritual abhishekam scene. A hand wearing a rust-orange robe sleeve holds a brass horn-shaped vessel with a thin stream of liquid pouring over a brass Shivalinga-style object set in a silver bowl of water.
