Rows of attendees in white clothes sit on red chairs on a red carpet, many clapping with palms together. On a raised stage ahead, a golden ornate throne with decorated backdrop holds a figure in saffron, flanked by garlanded steps, marigold garlands, and a brass kalasha on a stand. A person in white stands near the stage. Red and white striped poles and draped red fabric frame the canopy, with loudspeakers at the sides and a purple cloth hanging at the right edge.2010-01-01Outdoor ceremony under a yellow canopy at a temple-style stage. A seated figure in saffron and orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with a gold lion armrest and a red cushion, a crowned silver-and-gold ritual figure in the centre, and a large garlanded deity murti with flower garlands on a side altar. Many devotees sit in white and saffron clothing, some in red-and-saffron shawls, with a fire pit (homa) and brass lamps in the foreground. Ceremonial staffs and a red-and-gold parasol frame the scene. Visible cues for the throne figure: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ornate adornments, consistent with the page's reference to a person, though the face is not clear enough for certainty.2015-07-18 +1 copiesJuly 15 20112011-07-15Outdoor photo of a homa or puja at an ashram-style open courtyard under a tiled roof and yellow canopy. Priests in white dhotis stand at the left with a brass oil lamp stand and offering vessels. Two golden lion sculptures and tall ceremonial standards with fan-shaped finials surround the throne. Smoke rises from the altar area. A red-and-white striped carpet covers the floor, and several seated devotees wear red malas.2015-07-18Night photograph of an open-air outdoor event under a canopy of red, orange and white cloth with green leaf garlands.
