September 08 20112011-09-08Outdoor photo of a procession on a dirt ground in front of a tall bamboo scaffold structure, with trees and a white board behind. At the centre, a barefoot man in a saffron-orange dhoti and matching shawl wears a long white and orange flower garland and walks forward. Beside him, a bearded man in saffron robes and rudraksha beads walks ahead, and several men in white dhotis and shawls with red borders follow, some carrying a brass vessel. Older men in white shirts and dhotis walk on the left, and a cameraman in red kneels at the lower right.2011-09-08September 08 20112011-09-08A procession of people walks along a dirt path in front of a large bamboo scaffold structure under a pale sky. In the foreground, a man in orange robes and an orange shawl carries a brass tray with flowers and fruit. Beside him, a person in an orange saffron dhoti and blouse with a long white and red flower garland and a red tilak on the forehead walks with long dark hair. Behind them, several shaved-headed men in white dhotis with red borders and rudraksha malas follow, one carrying an orange cloth. Two men in casual shirts walk at the left edge. Scaffolding and palm-thatch structures fill the background.2011-09-08September 16 20062006-09-16December 29 20102010-12-29December 30 20092009-12-30A procession of saffron-robed sannyasis walks along a dirt path lined with coconut palms under a pale sky. Around him, several sadhus in orange and peach robes walk behind, one with a long white beard and a peach shawl, another in green and white with an orange turban at left. A group of men in white shirts and white dhotis walk alongside, some wearing ceremonial beaded necklaces, and a few devotees stand at the right edge. Rural buildings and a stone wall are visible in the background.2009-12-30December 27 20072007-12-27Outdoor procession on an unpaved dirt road at dusk, with trees and a large blank billboard behind. A figure in the centre wears a thick white and orange flower garland, a rudraksha mala and an orange robe, with long hair swept back, and walks forward at the front of the group. Beside him a man in white dhoti and shawl carries a brass tray with a kalasha-like vessel and a green leaf sprig. Several men in orange and white robes walk in the group, two bald men on the right fold their hands in namaste, and other people in white and light clothing stand or walk in the background.2011-10-07A procession on a dirt path between blue tarpaulin walls and wooden poles, with a red and gold canopy on a pole in the background. A central figure in an orange-red robe wears a long flower garland of white and orange blossoms and has long dark hair; the cues are the saffron robe, garland and long hair, so this is. Around him are several men in white dhotis with yellow borders and white upper cloths, some bald-headed, and a woman in a white sari with yellow border walking at right. A man in front wears a rudraksha mala. Plastic chairs are stacked at left under a white canopy.2010-12-29Outdoor photo on a dusty dirt ground with trees and a bush behind a wire fence. A central figure in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala beads and bangles, walks barefoot and looks ahead; the appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) figure in procession. Beside him a man in a white dhoti holds a tray of yellow flowers, and a woman in a blue sari carries a bag. Other devotees in white dhotis, shirts and a red-shirted boy stand around with hands folded, and a stone-coloured jacketed man stands at left. Several people are visible, roughly a dozen.2011-12-09
