A photograph of a crowd walking down a village street in India during a daytime procession, with a large blue banner visible in the distance above the heads of the marchers. Many people, mostly dressed in white shirts and kurtas, walk toward the camera; several women wear white head coverings, saris in pink and blue, and colorful dupattas. Some participants wear caps in red, blue and white, and orange shoulder bags are visible. Low whitewashed buildings with tiled roofs line the street, palm trees rise in the background, and onlookers sit on rooftops and at the edge of the road beneath strings of small decorative lights. Hindu-style festival decorations hang along the shops on the right.

A dense street procession moves through a small town under a sunny sky, with a large crowd of mostly white-clad devotees filling the road. Many men wear white shirts and mundus, and several women wear white saris or pastel and orange garments. Yellow and green festoon bunting strings across the street above the crowd. Ahead, a decorated ratha or palanquin with ornate canopies and draped umbrellas is carried through the crowd, and a white covered platform sits near the center. Old multi-storey buildings with a clock-like tower line the background, and a banner with Kannada script hangs on a shop front. Bystanders and devotees fill the street on both sides.

Crowded street procession in a small-town market area with shop fronts, string lights and a white banner held aloft. Dense crowd of devotees in white and saffron clothing, many with raised hands. A man in a cream shirt with a lanyard stands at centre, and a man in a pink shawl and orange sash walks nearby. Musicians with drums and cymbals play at right. Shopfronts and orange flags frame the scene, with a decorated orange canopy at left.

A large crowd of mostly men walks down a paved street during a procession, many in white shirts and white dhotis, some in orange and saffron shirts. A woman in a long orange-saffron sari stands at the right, next to men in white. Several people carry green and orange kalasha pots on their heads. A white banner with red and blue lettering and yellow flags are held aloft at left. Behind them are orange and white canopy stalls, large trees and a boundary wall. A young child is held on a man's shoulder in the foreground. Several people hold items in their hands, possibly ritual containers. The scene suggests a religious procession, possibly a ratha or kalasha procession in a town street.

A photograph of a crowded street market in Varanasi in hazy early light. Many people walk away from the camera along a dusty lane lined with small open-fronted stalls, a tree canopy overhead and a pale pink multi-storey building in the background. In the foreground a man in a white shirt wears an orange shawl over his shoulder, a woman wears an orange head covering and white garment, and another man wears a white cap and tan shawl. A stall on the right displays produce. No individual can be identified with confidence, so no a person candidate is claimed.

A large crowd of devotees walks along a dusty dirt road in late-afternoon light, heading toward a festival area decorated with red and yellow cloth and banners. Men in white kurtas and yellow checked shirts walk alongside women in saris and salwars in blue, red, orange and peach. A woman in a blue sari with a red blouse walks near the centre with her hands folded. A young man in a grey tank top and shorts stands at right. Behind them a white building with a blue sign reading Ladies Toilet stands beside a thatched shelter, and a blue car drives through the crowd. Tall palm-like poles and trees line the background.

A dense outdoor procession moves down a dusty street lined with a large crowd of devotees, many in white clothes and some in saffron or orange shawls. Above the crowd, a decorated ratha or palanquin with a white canopy and colourful umbrellas is carried through the street, and yellow streamers and festive decorations hang across the road. Shopfronts and older multistorey buildings frame the scene. Several figures in orange-saffron garments walk near the front, but no individual can be confidently identified from appearance. Many people fill the frame, with more visible in the background, so the count is well above one hundred.

A large outdoor street procession in bright daylight under trees and a pale sky. Dense crowds fill the road: men in saffron-orange robes and orange turbans walk among others in white dhotis, white shawls and white headcloths. A tall bearded man in an orange turban and orange robe stands near the centre, and a man in a white turban and white shawl is in the lower right. Several large banners in Kannada script are held aloft, including a long white-and-green banner with a portrait, and yellow and pink banners. A few building facades and a bus appear at the edges. No identifiable a person candidate is distinguishable from appearance alone.
