Around them, men and women in white and orange-red shawls sit on the ground and hold brass plates of fruit, bananas, sweets and offerings, with a silver framed panel nearby. A dense crowd of devotees with rudraksha malas and orange robes surrounds the scene. The setting suggests a puja or abhishekam offering.
