February 19 20082008-02-19Interior view looking up at a conical thatched roof of a hut. Dark bamboo or wooden rafters radiate from a central point at the apex, crossed by woven horizontal bamboo lattice and dried thatch fibres. The lower wall shows a tightly woven mat or wicker band. A small red object is faintly visible at the bottom edge. No people are visible.2008-02-19Interior of an unfinished thatched round hut with a palm-frond and bamboo roof and woven-mat walls. A raised circular red-painted platform floor surrounds a red throne-like seat with a fan-shaped back against the far wall. Red-painted wooden posts frame the entrance, a bamboo scaffold stands on the floor, and green potted plants with red-leafed shrubs grow outside. No people are visible.2008-02-19Looking up from inside a conical thatched structure, a radiating framework of reddish-brown wooden or metal rafters converges on a bright circular opening at the apex. Dried palm-leaf or grass thatch covers the roof and its interior. A pale vertical pole runs diagonally through the frame. Two figures are visible near the opening: one in a blue and orange garment seated at the top edge, and another partly visible on the left, apparently working on the roof structure. Light pours through the open crown of the roof.2010-07-22July 22 20102010-07-22Low-angle photograph looking up at a thatched roof supported by a red-painted wooden frame and bamboo rafters. Dry straw thatch covers the upper slope, with darkened timber rafters and a bamboo pole along the left edge. A green tree and leafy branches frame the upper left, and white flowers appear at the lower left. No people are visible in the structure.2010-07-22August 18 20092009-08-18A photograph of a rustic open shelter with a thick thatched roof of dried palm or reed fronds laid over a bamboo frame, supported by long wooden poles driven into dry reddish-brown earth. The thatch is bleached grey-beige. Behind it rises a green scrubby hillside with scattered grey boulders and a rocky outcrop under a pale sky. A small white building is faintly visible at the right edge. No people are present in the scene. +1 copiesA photo of an open-sided bamboo and thatch construction frame at an ashram site under bright daylight. Tall bamboo poles and angled struts support a dry palm-thatch roof over a dirt ground with scattered debris and a leaning wooden ladder. Behind the structure stand palm trees, green foliage, a parked blue car and white buildings along a dirt path. A figure in a purple garment is partly visible at the left edge.2007-05-27A photograph of a long, open bamboo-framed shed under a thatched roof of dried palm fronds, under construction or being built at an ashram site. Diagonal bamboo bracing supports the structure, and the ground beneath is bare earth with dry debris. Behind it stand palm trees, a low white building with blue doors, and a blue sky with scattered clouds. No people are visible.2007-05-27February 19 20082008-02-19A photograph of an open-sided thatched structure under construction at an outdoor site. A long, low roof of dried straw or thatch rests on a framework of bamboo poles and wooden posts, with diagonal bracing poles leaning against the sides. Beneath the roof, stacked metal pipes or rods lie on crossbeams above a concrete plinth with red earth exposed inside its perimeter. Palm trees and a leafy branch frame the scene, and a small blue structure appears in the background. No people are visible.2007-06-05
