Outdoor ritual photograph beneath a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots. A seated figure in orange robes and an orange turban, with long hair and a rudraksha mala, sits on a black-and-white painted platform and offers something from a small dish. Brass pots and a brass kalasha sit nearby with yellow and pink flower petals scattered on the ground. Seated devotees in green, white and orange saris and dhotis face the platform. Standing men in white shirts and a bearded man in white watch from behind, one holding a camera, and a garlanded deity or shrine with pink and red flowers is at the right edge. The setting suggests a pooja or homa in progress.Outdoor ritual under a large banyan tree with aerial roots. A woman in a green sari with a long braid sits at left. Several men in white stand with folded hands under the large banyan tree, and yellow marigold garlands and petals lie on the ground.Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with dangling aerial roots, showing a consecration ritual at a stone-lined base. A dark black stone deity murti with a raised hooded form stands on a granite pedestal at right, with brass vessels and offerings on the ground.2003-04-02Outdoor photo beneath a massive banyan tree with dense aerial roots. In the foreground a standing man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban holds a brass bell in his right hand, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and white markings on his bare upper arm, smiling. Beside him a seated bearded man in white kurta sits behind a small wooden lectern. A woman in a cream sari stands with hands folded in namaste. Behind them, a saffron-draped seat is garlanded with pink and white flowers and green foliage, with a brass pot and a brass kalasha-like vessel at the lower left and marigolds and pink petals on the ground. Several onlookers in white and dark clothing stand or sit in the background, and a saffron flag hangs on a bamboo pole. Red-brown rocks frame the bottom edge.Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots. A tall figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, stands with palms pressed together in prayer, a probable Swamiji by appearance: long swept hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads. Around them a crowd of devotees in white ritual clothes sit and stand, hands folded, including a woman in a white sari with red border and a woman in lavender. At right, a stone cobra hood sculpture is draped with a garland of multicoloured flowers and yellow marigold strands, with a kalasha-like stone base; a figure in white kneels beside it. Woven mats cover the ground. The banyan trunk and lush foliage fill the background.2006-07-23Outdoor satsang beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. A raised orange-draped seat under a decorative red-and-gold canopy holds a figure in saffron robes at the centre-right, with a golden ornamented umbrella and a gold-and-red garland beside it. Seated devotees in white dhotis and white kurtas, with a woman in a teal sari among them, sit on a sandy floor in front of the seat, several with hands folded in prayer. A large stone with garlands and a carved snake-like form lies at the right foreground. The figure on the seat's build and dress match the candidate, but the face is too distant to confirm identity, so the a person field is set to unsure.2005-07-21Outdoor ritual beneath a large banyan tree with sprawling aerial roots. A standing man in saffron-orange robes, orange turban and wooden rudraksha mala holds a large white feathered fan or chamara aloft with both hands, apparently performing an abhishekam-style blessing. Seated devotees, many women in yellow, green and white saris, sit with hands pressed together in prayer. Men in white dhotis stand in the background with folded hands. A dark carved serpent or naga figure with white markings lies in the foreground beside yellow marigold flowers, brass kalasha pots and a brass lamp with offerings on a plate.
