A large seated congregation fills a pink-walled hall at a Guru Purnima gathering. Many men sit cross-legged on the floor in white dhotis with gold borders, some bare-chested and wearing rudraksha malas, others in white kurtas, and several in saffron or orange cloths. Several hold their palms joined in anjali while looking forward toward an unseen speaker. A tripod-mounted camera and a large screen stand near the back wall, and framed portraits hang above the doorways. Crowd members are visible throughout the room.
