Night photograph of a temple ritual before a large black deity murti with wide staring eyes, a dark circular halo behind it, and layered gold and beaded necklaces, rudraksha-style malas, and rosettes on a red-orange garment. Yellow marigold garlands drape both sides of the murti, and smoke drifts across the scene. In the left foreground a person with short dark hair, seen from behind, wears an orange cloth with a pink border and holds a lit oil lamp toward the deity, performing aarti. The person's identity cannot be determined from this view.

A photograph at night of a shirtless priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl, with a brown rudraksha mala and beaded necklaces, a white tilak on his forehead, and white bands on his arms. He raises a lit oil lamp (aarti) in one hand and rings a handbell in the other. Behind him stands a dark deity murti decorated with orange and green garlands, with a golden kalasha-style object nearby. To his right an orange canopy with crystal fringe shelters the scene, and a man holds a golden trident-topped staff on the left. Several devotees with folded hands watch at the lower right, and smoke drifts from the left edge.

Close view of a temple worship scene in which a bare-shouldered priest holds a brass multi-wick oil lamp with several tall flames over a black Shiva lingam draped in red and gold cloth and garlanded with white jasmine and orange-pink flowers. A smaller brass oil lamp burns to the right, and a golden ornate arch frames the shrine behind. A circular red-and-gold light fixture hangs above. The priest's clothing is an orange-red cloth wrap and the lamp is being offered in aarti. The image is a photograph of an abhishekam-style lamp offering.
