A night-time temple scene of boys and young men seated on stone steps playing drums and cymbals. In the foreground a boy in a saffron-orange dhoti and angavastram with a wrapped waist cord strikes a drum with a stick, and a smaller boy in a yellow-orange dhoti beside him holds a drum. To the left, several young boys in white dhotis with gold borders sit in a row. Behind them, adults in white and colourful clothing play brass vessels and instruments, with a pink sash visible. Four young men in saffron-orange robes perform drumming in a bare, pale-walled hall on a glossy floor. The nearest drummer, seated in front, strikes a large drum with a stick and wears a white forehead band; behind him another drummer plays a second drum, and a third youth beside him holds a drumstick and a long pink-and-white cloth is draped over another drum. Rudraksha malas hang around their necks and white ash marks their arms. Brass lamps, flower petals and a small oil lamp sit on the floor in front. No candidate for a person is visible in this image.

Photo of a group of young boys playing traditional drums at a satsang-style gathering inside a hall. Several boys wear white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas; others wear orange saffron-coloured robes with gold trim. Foreground drummers strike large cylindrical drums with rope-laced red and brown shells, holding wooden sticks. One boy at right has white paste markings across his forehead with a red tilak and a rudraksha mala. Standing figures in orange robes stand behind the drummers, and a pillar and light-coloured wall fill the background.

A group of young drummers and musicians sit on red stone steps during an outdoor ceremony. Several wear orange dhotis or saris with gold borders and rudraksha malas, bare-chested, playing metal-rimmed frame drums and a large drum with wooden sticks. Behind them a young man in white dhoti blows a long brass horn, and a bare-chested man in white dhoti stands with palms pressed in anjali. A woman in an orange sari plays a drum on the upper right, with more seated players in white and orange beside her.

A photograph of a group of young boys seated on red stone steps lined with black shivalinga-style stone forms, playing percussion. In the foreground a boy beats a large drum with a stick. Several boys wear orange dhotis, bare chests, rudraksha malas and white tripundra forehead marks; one plays cymbals and another plays a drum with pink-tipped sticks. Behind them, figures in white clothes sit on the steps, and a boy in red shorts stands at left. The scene suggests a temple ritual ensemble performing music.
