Night-time ritual homa at an outdoor courtyard beside a pale wall. A figure in orange saffron robes and a wrapped shawl leans over a yellow-draped altar, placing an offering into a flaming fire. Beside him, a bare-chested man in an orange-and-gold dhoti, orange turban and layered rudraksha-style beaded necklaces holds a small metal vessel. The altar holds a flame, bundled white offerings, flowers, a brass bowl, banana leaves and potted plants. A camera on a tripod records the scene at left. Two people are visible.

Night outdoor ritual at a temple-style setting. A person in an orange-brown robe with a gold-bead necklace and a red-orange shawl stands at right with palms joined, a red bindi on the forehead and gold bangles on the wrist. Beside him, a young man in saffron-orange cloth with a light sash and a bald head, palms joined, holds his hands near his chin, another young man at left in orange cloth with a white headband and white markings on his forehead. A flame burns in a white-rimmed bowl on a stone slab, surrounded by a brass plate, silver lamp stand, a bowl of pink petals and a large flower-garlanded object with marigolds and roses. Other people stand in the dark background.

A night-time homa at a square fire pit lined with yellow-painted edges and scattered pink flowers. A young priest in white dhoti and a cream turban pours an offering from a small vessel into the flames while holding a small book. Around the pit, five young boys in saffron-orange robes sit cross-legged, their foreheads marked with white tilaka and wearing rudraksha malas. One boy holds a brass bowl and another reads from the book. Burning incense sticks and a metal bowl sit at the edge.

A night homa at a brick fire pit with a tall bright flame rising from the centre. A bald man with a white tilak on his forehead, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over his body, a rudraksha mala and a beaded necklace, sits at the right side of the pit, hands extended over the fire with a ritual vessel nearby. Behind him a row of seated devotees wear white clothes and red shawls, some with orange scarves. Brass pots and a small bowl sit beside the fire on a cloth-covered platform. A small headset microphone is visible on the officiant's face.

Photograph of a group of young devotees in saffron-orange cloths wrapped over their shoulders and waists, several with white stripes painted on their arms and foreheads. In the foreground a girl with long dark hair and a red pendant holds yellow prasad or offering mixture in both hands, while others around her hold up similar yellow offerings. Behind them a bare-chested young man with long hair and white forehead markings stands among the group, and a blurred yellow-walled building appears in the background.

Night photograph of a robed sadhu in orange-brown garments and a rust turban, bare-shouldered, extending a ceremonial silver lamp or ritual implement toward a large deity murti. The murti is a blue-faced goddess with multiple arms, wearing a white crown and white garments, draped in red and yellow marigold garlands and set against a maroon and gold backdrop. Before the murti stands a bright fire pit with orange flames and marigold garlands, and a brass oil lamp rests on the steps. A white and maroon striped staircase and a potted plant frame the scene.
