In front of the figure is a white-draped seat or peetha decorated with yellow and pink garlands and gold trim. Brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot, a tray with apples, flowers and a red offering, and a small brass lamp sit on the platform. Strings of colourful beads hang from the roof and a blue cloth backdrop frames the shrine. A bodily pillar with carved stone stands at the side. Possibly a puja or aarti offering.2007-10-14April 21 20132013-04-21A photograph of a temple shrine heavily decorated with marigold and yellow flower garlands draped on pillars. A seated woman in an orange sari with flowers in her hair sits with hands folded in anjali before a large seated deity murti in green and gold garments, with a crown and decorated arms. In front, a white-robed priest in a flower garland sits on the floor facing the murti beside a brass lamp stand and a long row of metal bowls set with offerings of fruit. A red curtain hangs behind them. A few other people are partially visible at the left edge. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam during a temple ceremony.2007-01-01A temple ritual photograph. Two shaved-headed priests in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls sit on a pink-draped floor before a richly decorated altar. The seated priest on the right works with a small bowl and offerings, while the priest on the left holds a tall golden staff with a white flower. Behind them stand three deity murtis dressed in green and orange, adorned with gold necklaces and crowns, framed by garlands of red roses and yellow marigolds. Silver vessels, bananas, a silver lamp and a golden lion-form throne sit at the front. Ornate gold-leaf pillars and a draped white canopy complete the setting.2013-04-21A ceremonial stage decorated with white flowers, red and yellow garlands and a red-and-white canopy frames a central throne. A long-haired man in an orange robe with orange shawl and rudraksha-style garland sits on the throne with palms pressed together in greeting, under a golden parasol. Seated before the throne, a man in white dhoti and shawl with palms joined, a shaven-headed man in orange and white, a monk in orange robes with bowed head, and a woman in white sari with orange shawl and palms joined perform a puja. Brass oil lamps, bowls of offerings, fruit and flowers sit on the stage, and an orange-robed attendant at right waves a white fan toward the throne. Pedestal fans stand on either side. The scene reflects a Gurupoornima padapuja and satsang.2007-07-29November 23 20102010-11-23December 24 20112011-12-24May 02 20122012-05-02April 30 20152015-04-30
