October 17 20102010-10-17A photograph of a stage at a ritual event. A man seated on an ornate gold throne with lion-carved armrests wears a long garland of white and orange flowers, a dark-leather patterned headwrap, gold necklaces and a rust-brown dhoti, his hands resting calmly. Beside him a standing young man in an orange saffron wrap and orange head cloth, bare-chested with white beaded necklaces, lifts a silver aarti lamp with a flame toward a large golden deity murti of an elephant-headed Ganesha draped in yellow and red cloth and heavy yellow marigold garlands. Brass oil lamps and a small silver offering tray sit on a pink-draped table in the foreground. Red curtains and gold architectural carvings frame the stage.2017-08-25A seated figure in an orange-red robe sits on an ornate gold throne with carved details and a tiger-striped cloth over the seat, flanked by silver trident staffs. A bald priest in orange clothing, with a gold armband and bangles, holds a lit oil lamp aarti toward him. To the left stands a gilded deity murti in a purple and yellow cloth, adorned with white and red flower garlands and a gold crown. Gold and red draping forms the backdrop, and small figures of other people are partly visible at the lower edge. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long dark hair and wears orange-red robes on a throne, matching the page's claim of his presence, with appearance cues that are not fully distinctive.2013-02-15A standing priest in saffron-orange robes and a matching turban, wearing a long marigold garland, holds a lit aarti lamp with flames toward a golden throne-like seat decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands. A large golden umbrella stands above the seat, and a red-and-gold banner behind shows a smiling man in an orange turban beside the word Dasara. A kneeling attendant in orange sits on the left among rows of brass plates and offering trays, while a woman in white stands beside the priest. Smoke fills the hall and a red carpet covers the floor.2010-10-17April 28 20152015-04-28October 17 20102010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17A seated figure in orange-saffron robes and an orange head wrap sits on an ornate gilded throne with carved floral and scroll patterns, against a red backdrop and gold drapery. A priest with a shaved head, wearing a red-orange dhoti and shawl and sacred thread marks on his arm, faces him and holds a lit multi-flame aarti lamp with flames rising. A silver trident stands in front of the throne, and a tiger-striped cloth covers the seat. The scene suggests an aarti being offered to the seated figure during a ritual. The seated figure has long hair, a beaded necklace and rudraksha-style beads, which fits Swamiji (probable) as a seated honoured guest or teacher being offered aarti by the priest.2013-02-11October 17 20102010-10-17Photograph of a ceremonial aarti in a hall decorated for Dasara celebrations. A man in orange robes and an orange turban stands at centre, wearing a marigold garland and holding a lit oil lamp toward a gilded throne-like seat draped with yellow and orange flower garlands and a golden canopy umbrella. A seated attendant in orange sits at left beside rows of brass vessels, and a robed figure in white stands near the back. A large framed portrait on the right, labelled with the Kannada-script banner, shows a smiling man in an orange turban. Smoke or haze fills the background. Fruit and flower offerings sit on brass trays on the floor.2010-10-17February 10 20132013-02-10January 06 20132013-01-06
