July 07 20092009-07-07A dirt path lined with trees during a procession. At the centre, a long-haired young man in saffron robes walks barefoot, wearing a large fresh flower garland and rudraksha mala. Beside him, a saffron-clad attendant carries a tray of flower petals and walks in front of the central figure. Behind them, another saffron-robed man carries a ceremonial staff with a golden finial and a small drum, and a bald man in orange with rudraksha and a gold necklace walks nearby. Devotees in white clothes and white shirts stand along the path with hands folded in namaste and watch. Several other people in white and orange are visible in the background.2009-07-08 +1 copiesDecember 29 20102010-12-29October 17 20102010-10-17December 29 20102010-12-29Outdoor crowd scene at a festival ground under an overcast sky, with trees, a blue tarpaulin-covered stall and a colourful bunting-decorated pavilion behind. Around him, men in saffron and orange robes and white dhotis and shirts press close, some with raised hands and folded palms, while a white-clad man with long hair in a white shirt gestures beside them. Several bald men in white and orange attire surround the group, one wearing a rudraksha mala.2010-12-29December 29 20102010-12-29December 23 20092009-12-23December 30 20092009-12-30A procession inside a hall decorated with hanging garlands and red-and-orange banners. At the centre, a woman in saffron robes and a long white-and-orange flower garland walks with palms pressed together, flanked by saffron-robed sannyasis wearing gold necklaces and rudraksha malas. A bearded man in saffron stands to the right, and a man in saffron carries a silver tray of flower petals at the far right. Behind them, men in white dhotis and white shirts and women in saffron and white saris follow. A tall brass staff with a trident-like top rises among the marchers, and a deity murti is visible in the background. The ground is bare concrete.2008-12-23A procession on a dirt road in bright daylight, with people in saffron-orange robes walking in a group. A multicoloured fringed parasol with tassels is held over a central figure wearing an orange robe, a long white and red flower garland, and white forehead markings; a man beside him in orange carries a small brass or metal kalasha-style object. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts walk among them, and a bearded man in orange stands at the right edge. Behind them are tents, a stage frame and a yellow vehicle. The central figure appears to be a candidate for a person based on the long swept-back hair, white forehead markings, orange clothing and flower garland, shown during the procession.2009-01-02Outdoor procession on a reddish dirt path with grass patches. At the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe with a dark rudraksha mala walks smiling, a candidate for Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues. Around him, men in white kurtas and white dhotis wear red-and-gold shawls and lanyard badges. One man in white holds a brass vessel with green leaves on a red tray, while another carries a round blue-and-orange ceremonial fan. A man at right grips a tall blue pole. Behind them stand more people and orange flags on white poles.2005-07-21
