January 31 20092009-01-31January 31 20092009-01-31A group photograph of about two dozen men in front of a golden-carved temple shrine with a red curtain and a deity murti decorated with garlands, flanked by coloured festoons and a small blue temple structure on the left. Most men wear white shirts and white dhotis, some with rudraksha or beaded malas; a few wear saffron or orange shawls, and one wears a yellow-and-red cloth. Several sit on the sandy ground in front, while others stand behind. Palm trees frame the scene, and a framed portrait is placed near the shrine base.2009-01-31Outdoor group photo at a temple courtyard with palm trees, a shrine structure decorated with garlands and deity figures, and a yellow-and-blue truck on the right bearing a large banner of a saffron-robed figure. About thirty men in white dhotis and white shirts with rudraksha malas stand and sit in rows in front of the shrine; some wear orange and red cloths. A framed photo of a saffron-robed figure stands near the shrine. Swamiji (probable) cannot be confirmed from the visible people; the banner figure is a depiction with long hair and saffron robes.2009-01-31January 31 20092009-01-31January 31 20092009-01-31Outdoor festival crowd seated on the ground in rows, mostly men in white t-shirts with a colourful circular logo and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, with some men in white shirts and trousers. A white-clad man with a plain white garment stands at right near a white stupa-like structure, and a decorated vehicle at the top left displays framed portraits and a deity murti with floral garlands. Palm trees and a tall ornate kalasha finial appear in the background, with a few orange caps and saffron-coloured clothing visible among the crowd.2008-12-29January 31 20092009-01-31October 28 20062006-10-28Outdoor scene at a dusty village ground beside a tree-lined road, with a large ornate golden ratha (chariot) on the right carrying deity murtis under a decorated canopy, and a row of framed posters along its base. Several dozen people in white dhotis and white shirts, some in saris with orange and green tones, stand and sit in a semicircle; a woman in an orange blouse and green skirt stands at centre-right facing the chariot while others sit on mats near puja offerings. A thatched shelter and a white van and red bus appear behind the crowd. The page indicates a Ratha Yatra procession for deities of Sri Nithyanandeshwara and Nithyanandeshwari, but no a person figure is clearly distinguishable from appearance in this frame.2006-10-25Outdoor photograph of a large seated audience of men in white shirts and white dhotis, many wearing rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and a few with vertical white markings on their foreheads, sitting on mats in rows under palm trees. A banner on the left shows a framed portrait of an orange-robed figure above a deity murti decorated with garlands, and a white painted pillar and a tall orange-and-gold ornamental pillar stand behind the crowd. Colourful balloons appear at the far left, and several white-clad helpers stand at the back. Around thirty to forty people are visible.2008-12-29A photograph of a pada-yatra rest stop beneath a large old banana-like shade tree with thick trunk. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts sit on a low stone platform and the ground, many carrying orange saffron shawls and wooden walking staffs. An older man in the foreground wears a white shirt, a multi-coloured dhoti border and a beaded mala, holding an orange cloth. Behind them a white van and a yellow building stand near a gate, with a few other people in the background. The men appear to be resting during the walk.2009-01-29
