A photo of a seated ritual in a temple sanctum with silver-clad pillars. A figure in saffron-brown robes with a gold-bordered dhoti, a yellow and white flower garland, a tilak on the forehead and gold armlet sits cross-legged and offers flower petals from a brass plate onto a deity murti. The deity wears a red and magenta silk cloth draped over a large yellow marigold garland and a gold crown. A second man in a light brown shawl and white dhoti stands at right holding petals. A brass kalasha and small oil lamps sit on the floor with yellow flowers.2014-02-012010-PHOTO-ALBUM-1 +2 copiesKAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 2/18/20222022-02-18Close-up photograph of a pair of gold paduka (sandal-shaped footwear) placed in a round gold tray on a silver repoussé altar cloth. The person wears rust-red trousers with wide gold zari borders at the ankles, and a garland of red roses, yellow chrysanthemums and green leaves hangs beside the legs. A gold-carved ornate wooden chair or throne arm is visible at left, and a silver-toned ceremonial tray holds small flower petals and gold rings near the toes. Appearance cues for the person are not distinctive enough to identify who it is, so the role is described only as a seated devotee receiving padapuja.2017-06-08Women sit in a row on a red patterned carpet performing a Varalakshmi Vratam puja. In front of them are several red and gold brocade-wrapped kalasha pots, each topped with a yellow coconut and green leaves, set on wooden platforms over leopard-print cloths. Brass plates hold bananas, rose petals, flowers and brass cups, and the women reach forward with their hands to offer items. The women wear saris and kurtas in white, yellow, red and lavender.2019-08-09November 25 20182018-11-25May 21 20122012-05-21 +1 copies2010-PHOTO-ALBUM-1 +1 copiesClose-up photo of a seated person's bare feet resting on an ornate silver throne or peetha base with raised repoussé floral engraving.
