A golden ornate palanquin, or shibika, carries a richly decorated deity murti seated on a cushioned throne. The figure wears a jewelled crown, a long brown robe, heavy ornamental necklaces and gold armlets, and is draped with thick garlands of orange and pink flowers. The ornate gold canopy is backed by a red cloth, and a golden-yellow cloth hangs over the front of the palanquin. Flower garlands also decorate the golden sides, and the scene is set against a dark background.
