Two young priests in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stand before a golden shrine arch framing a deity murti with a red-and-orange crown, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and a red curtain behind. The priest on the left, bare-chested with tilak, holds a bell while the priest on the right, with a bare back and an orange cloth tied at the waist, performs a ritual near a small golden standing figure, adorned with white and red flower garlands. A steel vessel and offering plates sit on the stone floor. Visible actions suggest puja or abhishekam; the second priest appears to offer or anoint at the golden figure.2013-12-20Two priests in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls perform abhishekam at a stone temple shrine before gilded deity murtis draped with white and yellow garlands and a red backdrop. Both are draped in purple and yellow marigold garlands. In front, a seated priest in saffron robes sits on a mat, his right hand raised in a gesture while tending a ritual setup of brass lamps, brass vessels and flower offerings on a white-draped platform. A small silver-clad figure in pink sits at the center. Potted greenery and brass oil lamps surround the shrine.2009-10-15A photograph inside an ornate temple shrine with a golden arched backdrop. A large deity murti of a seated couple is adorned with yellow, orange and purple marigold garlands and red-and-gold garments; the figures wear crowns and red-and-gold jewellery. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides of the shrine, and a row of orange flowers and foliage decorates the pillars. In the foreground, three men in saffron-orange clothing perform worship: one at left holds a tray of offerings, a central figure in orange bends over the offering plate, and a figure in a red-orange garland stands behind the deity. Brass plates of flowers, a kalasha-like pot and ritual items sit on the stone platform, consistent with a puja or abhishekam.2008-12-26April 24 20122012-04-24November 25 20092009-11-25December 26 20082008-12-26 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple shrine with gold-framed arched niches and a red backdrop.
