December 12 20162016-12-12A photograph of a shrine-like arrangement dominated by a gilded arch framing a pair of golden deity murtis seated on a throne: a male figure with a green and red turban, crescent-crowned head ornament, trident, and layered silver necklaces, beside a female figure in a red sari with a jewelled crown and ornaments. Multicoloured garlands of marigolds and roses wrap the figures, a golden lingam-like vessel sits centrally, and a white statue in a red cloth and red garland sits below with raised hand. Brass oil lamps, a small copper pyramid, a brass vessel, offerings of fruit and scattered petals occupy the foreground. The scene shows no living people.2008-12-30A decorated shrine tableau of a deity pair seated on a golden throne with a large golden arch behind them. The central figure wears a green, red and yellow turban, layered pearl necklaces and earrings, and a red garment; the female figure beside him wears a blue-purple sari and ornate jewellery. Both are heavily garlanded with yellow, white, red and purple flower strings. A tall golden kalasha-like sculpture stands at the centre, surrounded by garlands. Below it sits a small seated figure in an orange robe and orange turban, also garlanded, in front of a carved white pedestal. A large carved peacock-like bird form in orange stands to the left and a white wing shape to the right. The scene is dim and lit by warm spotlights, with no visible people.2008-12-28December 28 20082008-12-28Photograph of a golden arched shrine holding a pair of gilded deity murtis, a male figure in a green and orange turban with a trident and a female figure in a red sari with jewelled necklaces, seated above a golden linga. Two gold-coloured murti figures sit side by side on a throne-like seat: the left figure wears a green, red and gold turban with a heavy silver necklace, and the right figure wears a blue and purple sari with a gold crown and jewellery. Both are garlanded with yellow, orange, purple and white flower strands. In front stands a tall golden kalasha/ornament-like object wrapped in white and yellow flower garlands, and below it a small seated figure in orange robes sits on a white base. Behind the tableau is a large golden arch and a painted peacock-style backdrop with carved stone pillars around. Fresh flower garlands and a kumkum-coloured offering tray sit on the stage edge.2008-12-28December 28 20082008-12-28 +1 copiesNovember 30 20112011-11-30December 28 20082008-12-28Ornate shrine image of a seated deity pair framed by an arched gilt canopy covered in garlands of yellow, red and white flowers and jeweled ribbons.
