A photograph of a stone shrine with a barred metal door set under a stone-roofed open pavilion with granite pillars, surrounded by green hillside trees. A woman in white clothes sits on the steps of the shrine, head bowed. To the right, a man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange shawl over his shoulder stands looking down on the paved floor, with a dark bag at his feet. Small offerings are placed near the shrine door.2007-05-09A shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shawl with a yellow border stands barefoot with palms pressed together in namaskar, facing an open-sided stone shrine. Inside the shrine, a deity murti with an orange crown and garlands of white and orange flowers sits between two seated figures in purple and blue garments, backed by a turquoise drape and golden arch. Orange curtains hang from red pillars at the sides, and a small standing figure in purple stands to the right. The shrine sits on a grey stone platform carved with floral motifs, under a tiled roof with trees behind.2011-08-17March 04 20202020-03-04September 09 20112011-09-09A granite open-pillared shrine pavilion with red velvet curtains tied to the sides. In front stands a cobra-hooded arch above a white cloth-draped altar with garlands, brass oil lamps, bells, and a small framed deity image. No people are visible.2007-02-05December 28 20092009-12-28A photograph of a barefoot man in white kurta and white trousers walking across a pale stone plaza, with an orange saffron cloth draped over his shoulder and held at his side. Behind him stands a tall fortified stone wall with crenellated battlements, backed by a steep hillside of dense green trees. To the right is an open-sided stone pavilion with carved pillars and a red-trimmed roof, where a few people stand. Other people walk in the background: a woman in a patterned sari carrying a bag on the left, and a man in a light shirt and dark trousers near the centre. A silver SUV is parked beside a dirt mound along the wall.2012-07-23Outdoor temple pavilion scene in which a man in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a white forehead mark pours water from a brass vessel over a black shivalinga-style stone base in front of a golden-and-bejewelled murti of a seated deity holding a trident and staff, beside a consort figure in a green and red sari. Three other men in saffron robes stand to the left, and a man lies prostrate in white clothes on the stone floor in front, receiving the water flow in an abhishekam-style ritual. The pouring man is a devotee-priest officiating; no clear appearance-based identification of a person is made. Granite columns and carved stone ceiling surround the shrine.2007-02-232008 - Nithyananda University - Udal and Kattumurthy Courses2007-05-09Outdoor photograph of a group walking along a covered stone colonnade of an old temple with carved pillars and brackets, palm trees behind. In the foreground, an older man in a yellow shirt and white dhoti gestures toward the carved stone wall at left. Beside him, a man in orange saffron robes with a red-orange shawl and a red beaded mala walks barefoot, while another man in orange robes walks near him. Behind them, men in white dhotis and women in white sarees with orange shawls follow along the stone path.2009-07-14A large crowd of devotees stands and sits on a rocky hilltop in front of a tall white gopuram of a South Indian temple, with distant hills and town buildings beyond. Many wear white clothes with orange shawls or scarves around their necks. In the foreground, a heap of pink lotus flowers and white jasmine garlands rests on the stone, with orange petals scattered nearby. A woman in a white sari at left raises her arm and points toward the temple, while a man in white at right stands with hands folded at his chest. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance; the scene shows devotees gathered for a temple visit.2008-08-02December 07 20132013-12-07
