Under a red ceremonial umbrella with fringed tassels and a decorated canopy, a central figure in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala stands among devotees. Around him, men in white shirts and saffron scarves, one in a white cap, and older people in white stand close, several with hands folded in greeting. Women in saffron and sarees are present. Some people hold up white placards with printed photographs and Tamil text. An orange flag is visible on the right. Two framed portraits on poles flank the shrine: one of a smiling white-bearded man in white head covering and a second portrait on the right of a figure in a white head covering and dark garment. A striped multicolour umbrella and two saffron flags stand nearby. Men in white dhotis and shirts walk beside, and a dense crowd of women in sarees, many with braided hair, and children face the shrine with hands folded. A woman in orange sari stands at left. Several large ceremonial umbrellas with yellow, red and green panels and tassels, along with yellow and red embroidered banners on poles, are raised above the crowd. Near the centre, a few figures in saffron-orange robes and garlands walk within the procession, and one raised arm holds up a gold ceremonial staff. Coconut palms and thatched huts line the background, and many people reach out with folded or raised hands in devotion.2009-01-01A crowd of devotees in white and saffron-orange clothing gathers outdoors during a procession. Two large colourful parasols with blue, yellow and red panels and tassels shelter the scene at left. A man in a saffron-orange robe stands at centre with hands folded in greeting while others press around him; a woman in a lavender sari offers a yellow flower. Many men in white shirts and dhotis, some with orange scarves, surround them. A small printed portrait placard on a stick is visible in the background above the crowd, beside green trees and a wall.2009-01-21A dense crowd of many people gathers outdoors on dirt ground beside a row of posters and banners, with banana leaves hanging overhead. Two decorated umbrellas dominate the foreground: a large one with red, blue and orange panels, bird motifs and the word Dhyanapeetam, and a smaller one with a gold-trimmed canopy. Many devotees wear white, orange and saffron clothing, and several women in orange saris and sarees stand with hands pressed together in namaskar. A young man in a light blue shirt stands at right. On the upper left, a figure in orange robes sits at a raised stage area. Portrait photographs appear on the banners, but no clearly identifiable a person figure is visible among the physical people.2008-04-19December 23 20082008-12-23January 21 20092009-01-21January 21 20092009-01-21
