A photograph of a man with long, swept-back dark hair wearing an orange-saffron shawl over a red undergarment, a gold bead necklace and gold bracelet. He has a tilak mark on his forehead and is threading or holding a white cord with both hands near a gilded brass structure draped with yellow marigold garlands. Behind him a woman in white and other people in white and light clothing stand near the ceremonial structure, with green leaves visible. Visible cues include long hair, saffron clothing and gold ornaments, consistent with a Swamiji (probable) in a ritual setting, though the image is not conclusive.2006-09-29 +1 copiesJuly 17 20062006-07-17 +1 copiesA photograph of a long-haired man with shoulder-length dark hair and a bare upper torso, wearing a red-and-gold cloth wrap and a heavy gold necklace of ornamental beads. He looks upward while gripping a rope with his right hand, wearing a gold bracelet. Behind him a white stone carved figure of an elephant-headed deity stands beside a pillar, and a long garland of yellow marigolds hangs at the right edge. Green mango leaves are strung overhead, and a woman in white clothing and an orange-robed man stand in the background among onlookers. The setting suggests a temple ritual involving raising a pole or flag; a person appears to be the central figure, probable by appearance.2006-09-29A long-haired man in saffron-orange draped cloth stands in an outdoor procession, bare-shouldered, wearing a heavy gold necklace of large round beads with dark bands.
