A procession moves along a red carpet under an open-sided hall at dusk, with palm trees behind. Central figure wears an orange-and-gold dhoti and a long white flower garland, holding a curved ceremonial horn. Around him, men in orange and saffron robes and rudraksha malas carry a tall fan-like parasol with blue and orange trim, a trident, a kalasha-type pot and curved horns. A drummer in orange beats a drum at left, and two boys in dark tracksuits walk ahead, one holding a horn. Several men in white dhotis stand at right. The scene reads as a ritual procession.2014-06-16August 05 20142014-08-05August 05 20142014-08-05August 05 20142014-08-05August 20 20142014-08-20June 07 20162016-06-07June 16 20142014-06-16A procession on a paved courtyard with a red carpet runner. In the centre, a man in a deep red-maroon dhoti and matching shawl with a large red and white floral garland walks forward, and a smaller child in red-maroon clothing with a gold crown and layered silver-and-white necklaces walks beside him. Behind them, robed attendants in saffron and orange garments carry a tall orange parasol with fringe and a tasselled fan-like staff. A figure in white dhoti holds the parasol pole, and a bald man at right in maroon cloth and rudraksha beads carries a silver tray of flowers and fruit. A small shrine with a deity murti and colourful flags stands in the background among palm trees, and people in orange and white continue the procession.2013-08-20A procession on a red carpet under an open pavilion with palm trees behind. A smiling man with long dark hair and a gold necklace with a large pendant walks at the centre, wearing a brown patterned wrap and a rudraksha mala. Around him, saffron-robed men and boys in red and orange dhotis play long curved brass horns (karnatic-style trumpets). Men in red and orange sashes walk alongside, and one bearded figure holds a tall ceremonial umbrella with a fringed canopy. Small embroidered flags hang behind, and a drum is visible at the left edge. The scene resembles a ratha-style procession or ceremonial entry, with a figure in ornate clothing leading the group.2014-06-06June 07 20162016-06-07August 17 20142014-08-17 +1 copies
